It starts out as a an Action Sidescrolling game, but has an over world map reminiscent of Zelda 2, but the over world was more similar to Crystalis (except people lived in caves and holes in the ground in this game). SegNin, can you do me a favour and see what version of Gens 1 you have? Open up the first map, labelled "Ashanti's Room", and then head into "Come on, let's go!" and open the event there. It should read:
