Again, thank you for all the compliments! Tomorrow's coming up, or actually, it's merely nineteen hours left until I'm back on air. During the week I've had GWRadio in my head most of the time, and it's safe to say that this is becoming a prime interest of mine. Since I sort of went all-out last week, and this portable computer doesn't have a lot of music, I'm siphoning new music from three sources and sorting out the jewels.

However, soon I'll need to start finding my own stuff, and while I'm an avid listener, I'm not as much adept at FINDING the stuff. If anyone has any suggestions on programs, sites or whatnot, please don't hesitate to PM me.

Ah joinks, better get ready to listen in on X's Shillout Chack! :) Talk to ya later!

Vodkas..

There was no playlist this week either - I acted completely on instinct. But there was good shit, rest assured!

I actually prostituted myself before the show, piling up on emergency bandwith money just in case. Then it turns up that the listeners topped 21, so the desecration of the temple that is my body was utterly for nothing. Oh well. At least I got laid.

... actually, that was a lie. :( There were 22 peeps.

By this time Rami had informed me about how much I had to pay him for the bandwith. There's a good play going on about me being DS' slave of labour, if I get the point across, and that Rami will merely sit by and polish his holy grail as I'm working off my huge bandwith debt. A great exxegartion of course, but nonetheless. By this time I've realized that Leafo is keeping track of his songs, and that people love it.

Happy campers.

40 peeps today, people say. I am MDN of the Radio. And I only played a single song.

Not really much to say here, it was simply a fuckin' awesome session. People were sending me requests like mad, and the anecdotes on icelandic people were selling like snow to the frigid arctic folks. Guess it was the flow that was right. However, I strongly suspect that the radio went haywire, in retrospect. 40 peeps is just too heavy. It's also around this show when I start feeling the repercussions of being targeted at Swedes, and not knowing who folks are.

What the. Why is this so popular, out of interest? Is FORTY PEOPLE normal? It doesn't sound normal for a GW RADIO STATION

It's not normal for us. However, Kalar is just an excellent DJ, plus he has various friends tuning in. When he talks he actually makes interesting talk unlike the usual (and yes, I do this too) "ok so uh...this is my show....next song..."

Rational explanation? I can make more than a few guesses. For example, someone, perhaps this Slisko, always pops in during the show. He might be tipping people off. Rami checked the IPs, most of 'em were Swedish, and Slisko's hotmail addy is in Swedish. I have about three-four friends listening in, and I don't know if they're spreading the word. Silverbane has stated that his "advertisement from another forum" took effect, and yeah, well, I can always hope that I actually do a well enough job for people to stay and listen to me.

It's sort of embarassing. I want people to listen because they enjoy it, not because they're forced into it. :( Also, it takes away the PRESTIGE of being an underground dj when people think that you're pulling your own leg.

edit - Thanks, Mike. Cleared me sinuses, ya did.

Easterparty!

After a two week hiatus, we're back. It went sorta well today too, even though I was in a low, Jeff and Shinan were eagerly supporting me from the #gwradio channel. Special thanks to them, due gratitude will be shown. :) While I'm at it, seems as if I need to update the rooster on top. Blimey!

This week's show consisted mainly of Motörhead, Muse and some imported, odd music like Lemon Tree to lighten the vibes. The favourite in the crowd seemed to be "Thoughts of a dying atheist", maybe because of my own love for it. I seem to remember dedicating a good lot to Mike, as a thank you for introducing me to Muse.

SUMMER SHOWE WITH BRYAN ADAMS '69

Dum-da-dum, triple posts are never bad, I guess. People were awesome, I recieved Omega's approval, and Shinan's advice on accepting my inner Swede. Also, according to Gayman11, I have a Gay-clan that supports me in life. This lacks evidence, but has poked my interest, and deserves further interogation.

36 listeners, and I pre-made the track list. However, since I felt that it was going slow as all hell, I annihalated that suckah and started improvizing as per normal. I saved the end result tho:

1. AIR - cherry blossom girl (3:41)
2. Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime (3:34)
3. TV Theme Songs - Baywatch Theme - I'll Be Ready (3:21)
4. Coldplay - Don't Panic (2:17)
5. Figurines - the wonder (3:06)
6. Grease - Summer Nights (3:36)
7. Summer, Donna - Hot Stuff (3:49)
8. Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood (Ed case remix ) (3:48)
9. Brian Adams - Summer Of 69 (3:34)
<- The peak of the Show. After, a denouément followed.
10. Franz Ferdinand - jacqueline (3:48)
11. Village People - Disco Inferno (5:10)
12. LCD Soundsystem - Tribulations (4:59)
13. Party Ben - Paid For My Doorbell (Eric B. & Rakim vs. White Stripes) (4:07)
14. Modest Mouse - The World At Large (4:32)
15. Gnarkill - 01 Skeletor Beastman-Myth (3:03)

Updating the news post before next week.

THERE WILL BE PROUD ENGLISH SPIES OK

Did I mention that I mixed up David Hasselhoff with Mungo Jerry? No? In my opinion, the two should change names, Baywatch would've been much cooler with an actor named Mungo Jerry as the lead. Also, I did a fair amount of Uncle Kalar's tips here. There were also a few speeches, since I'm weak for orating stuff and really could not resist my inner Swede any longer. By the time this show was announced, I'd also decided that sweet World at Large would be my official themesong. Moody, but yeah, coo'.

"Small radio commercials"? How do you mean, Neo? Thanks for the best kind of reply, mate, last week's was one of the best shows ever! I was in good spirits, lots of folks were listening (around what, 25?) and I believe that I really reached out and felt my listeners and you felt me, for once.

I intend to make this week better by having a BIG FUCKING PARTY in a garden, and then while interrogating do ASL simultaneously. So Garden theme this week, expect lots of regular musics, and you're encouraged to ask me more of those juicy, impossible that I "turn possible and into a vase of flower"-typ of questions!

Also, I'll never forget two men in a tub.

Podcast (you don't wanna miss anyfin' do ya): http://kalar.be/asl/asl-8.zip

The radio show popped around 20 listeners and went fairly well. I was fairly boring and confused, but I dare say I got the best sort of music flying that extreme monday, introducing the White Stipes to a normally indie-prepped day. Also, Vonda Shepperd. That's where we dropped to ten, wailing listeners from the original 100% more.

Also, I got a job at TV through ASL. Thanks!!

Also, I got to take a urine test thanks to Shinan's bananarama. Thanks!!

Tune in come monday for more extreeeeeme crazy antics maybe.
