Also, about save points: make it so that players can save anywhere they want, but you still should put Save Points before areas of importance, or before a big fight, or whatever. Make Save Points talkative and fun!

Yeah but the purpose of save points isn't necessarily to save at!

It's not useless, just because the player can save anywhere doesn't mean they will. In this case, save points act as a reminder for the player to save before a boss or some hard part.

Touché, Belross ;)

In my opinion, it is a very good idea to warn people for boss battles. Because if we don't, they'll all come crying that they lost and they forgot to save the game.
