Thanks people, always good to read some feedback. I'm also liking how this stuff kinda meshes together.
Still carrying on, just v e r y s  l  o    w    l      y.
There will be minimal naked clay-like men in the full game.

Also btw, combat will be ABS (I still remember these terms!!!) via Khas' Saphire Battle system. Essentially because I can't code for toffee, and some parts of the story may (SPOLER ALERT) feature epic battles.
There will however be WIP screens of the gameplay with lazily unfinished forests however...

Yeah, his name is Liu Wei, obviously based on Liu Bei. The three main characters are based on the three brothers who founded the kingdom of Shu Han. for example this dude:

He's called Kan-Un. Based on the name Kanu Unchou, which is the Japanese name for Guan Yu. I'm a Three Kingdoms nerd(to the point of getting the symbol for Eastern Wu tattooed onto my wrist :/ )
(Unrelated, but here's a picture of a Guan Yu Transformer! HERE )

Faces are made using an old PS2 WWE Smackdown game then photoshopped when needed.

I had a Soundcloud, but nobody listened to it, and you have to pay for having lots of music and other features.
I figured with youtube, nobody will listen to it, but at least I won't have to pay!!

As some of you know, I'm a failing musician, and as a result, have made lots of musics. I ALSO have a youtube page where these failed musics live, 104 tracks written by, recorded, everythinged by me (ego-mania is running wild), covering a wide variety of genres. Here's a bunch of albums in reverse chronological order, please listen to what you can/want, and post any comments you have (even if it's just "lol boner").

BARBECUED GIBBON - KAIJU
https://youtu.be/DMhDI7Kw7Pw?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4AiONz0vEQf_L3HmhEClNMok
The second BBQGibbon album, it is noise, and beats and effects and more noise. The radioactive offspring of Autechre and Throbbing Gristle.

BARBECUED GIBBON - GOLIATH
https://youtu.be/PV__wMcvn98?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4AjXkLGqzXgUQj0prJzQ3Avw
Beats Beats Beats Beats with noise effects. Started with simply messing around until I got ideas for an album project. I like the sounds I got in the track "Martian", which is a NES sounds VST ran through so many effects that it sounds like the martian ships from the 50's War Of The Worlds theme.

MYTHOLOGY
https://youtu.be/4YB2-pkWf-8?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4AjFZthSjHstCgqGQCJXpvQZ
Works inspired by traditional Chinese music, for an abandoned and now restarted videogame project. I'm really proud of the track "The Realm Opens". Anyways this is RPGMUSIX

ORGANIC ANDROID
https://youtu.be/EyIVDIjbZac?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4Ahh1yxPcnxkQ6HtijNprqyY
Krautrock, tangerine dreamy in places. Organic Android part two is heavily inspired by the band Magma, sounds nothing like them, but inspired by them!  THIS IS AN INSTRUMENTAL CONCEPT ALBUM about a robot who wants to be treated as human, to be seen as an equal.

DISPOSABLE
https://youtu.be/KtzI_H0By4E?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4AgGt86BKvEa8XQ-F6C-vb6s
As the name suggests, disposed of music. Abandoned projects and unfinished ideas. The guitar solo halfway through "Isolation" is one of my favourites I've done, it just kinda glides along.

THE SOUND OF A THOUSAND STARS
https://youtu.be/azsbejQVzQw?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4AgEqe9kFsm1LQZftPiSmRwp
Cosmic Rock. That is all this is, with inspirations from Ash Ra Tempel, Acid Mothers Temple and the spacerock kings, Hawkwind. The opening track, "Anti-Life Syndrome", is one of my favourites that I have made, and "Into Infinity" also makes me happy.

HAMBURGER MUSIC #1
https://youtu.be/TUvkThg-9xw?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4AgkNZbL0WbMp52TtVx2I6oG
Assortment of weird/oddball/experimental/orchestrial/jazz works. Obvious influences being Zappa, Beefheart and The Residents. Not that it sounds anything like them, but they can be easily identified as a point of reference. "Throne Of The Majestic Burger" is like the wet dream of a hamburger final fanatacist.

DEER MASK REPLICA
https://youtu.be/NGCAK4-9JSk?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4Aix9ByxedMMVm2Qym4tN0F2
Yeah, I made a Christmas album, with as much festive cheer as you'd imagine. "The Town Is White With Snow" is actually quite nice I think.

ASTRAL VOYAGE
https://youtu.be/KFX7GEb7DkE?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4Ai0_nAUcZ7N2r-hBdT0mgPl
Electronic space music. Chilled. I like it, and still listen to this album. Mostly inspired by Tangerine Dream and Jean Michel Jarre

ABEINSPACE - No Escape From The Other Side Of The Sky
https://youtu.be/jaoNv-xbtj8?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4Aj_FpKreCie78OWg-EL53da
My earliest SPACEROCK musics from back in 2010, created by somebody off their face on painkillers, wine, happy pills and Acid Mothers Temple.

ABEINSPACE - M-THEORY
https://youtu.be/xKQg9vVIIpU?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4AjO_aKETjOL3FxtmBg5Iy4X
Anybody like slowed chilled out meditation-like drones that feel like you're floating endlessly, effortlessly in space? "Mantra Of The Stars" is a nice 25 minute drone. Close your eyes and listen to it in the lotus position.

MASTER BUILDER
https://youtu.be/RokIWnnGXXY?list=PLiuJ5RWqg4AirPih5hvPlbf7MvIG-FRCK
My first ever album :0 Inspired by the genius works of Daevid Allen (RIP you crazy space pixie) and his band, Gong, I imagined a scenario where the green planet, Gong, would emerge once again (the band Gong, would do this a few years later with their album 2032... copycats) and spread joy to the world. This is kinda new age/ambient electronica, and the track "Astral Embrace" I highly regard as one of my best.

I have returned to gamemaking. Well, I returned last year to the creation of these video games, but like, got bored and gave up. But hey! I made a soundtrack album and stuff, so wasn't all a waste of time.
I'm back in the saddle for a while, maybe getting some kind of BASIC SYSTEM down this time. Who knows??
Idea wise, it's based on elements of Chinese mythology and classic tales mixed into a new fantasy world.

As is par the course these days, the graphics will be custom. I'm going for the pre-rendered style, and using Makehuman for the basic human shape. This screen is just a simple example of the style I'm now going for. Ignore the lazy 2 minute map, just needed some decoration.

Here's some more, showing off some of the tiles. Made using stock photographs, museum websites, and my own photos (Them red bricks weren't red, and were a building next to Hitler's bunker... :o )

New IKEA Ming China collection. Some of the lovely furnishings avaliable for your home now!

So yeah, None of these are FINISHED SCREENS so sorry for ignoring the title of the topic really. Just wanted to...
A: Prove I'm still alive and haven't forgotten about you lots
B: Demonstrate my love for the often ignored and ridiculed joy of Pre-Rendered sprites. Fuck off you pixelfiends, they're great.
or..
C: Having people view these images of my workings will somehow set it in stone as something that really exists, and so may lead me to work on it, to justify it being worth posting here.
Or...
D: All of the abov.e

Also, if anybody knows any other free LAZYPEOPLE 3D MODLING stuff like Makehuman (Where you don't need to know anything about stuff to use) then please let me know. Otherwise I'll have to use SPORE to design the monsters or something... ugh.

Anyways I'll likely give up on this, but if it inspires me to make another album worth of soundtrack music, then it's worth it!
Here's some music.

I notice my name! First time having a visit here in like couple of months, and I see this topic.
I'm always making some musiqs, so would be up for this if other people are. It's a nice broad theme with endless possibilities such as Charles_Darwin2K15 techno remix (Origin of the BASS).

SW brings back memories. Mostly that I was an arrogant annoying shit, and thinking back at how we acted back in the day, it's easy to understand why GW got such a bad reputation amongst the rest of the game making community. But still, it has a fond place in my heart. I discovered a lot of cool stuff here, and enjoyed having funtimes. GW also helped me break away from my teenage music tastes (Would I have discovered Jazz if not for someone uploading Bitches Brew in the premium section??? I think not! Here was one of the places where I first heard Zappa, my love of whom is all consuming.). I think this place served as a neat distraction from the dark periods of my life. I also thank this place, and Steel particularly, for the progression of my Left-Wing views, as I was a nasty conservative piece of work when I first joined here.
It's sad to see it like it is now, and like, yeah, this place is old, and we've moved away to the elsewheres, but still keep in touch with the odd random member. I occasionally go back to RPGmaker every now and again, like making an RPG influenced by Chinese legends and myths, which is essentially an excuse for composing 'serious' music. But then I get tired with having to make all the graphics and stuff and give up for a while, just like I used to in the olden days.

Ugh, my original plan for my final paper at uni was going to be exploring the connections between pornography/prostitution and art (I later changed it to exploring how the use of monsters represent male sexual aggression... I'm such a fun guy!). Artists like Cossey Fanni Tutti and Genesis P.Orridge (fans of industrial/electronica/coolarty music will note that those two were also the driving force behind Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV) explored the field of pornography, where Tutti appeared in several explicit porn mags to look at the women's role in pornography from the inside, and then displayed the pages in a gallery (to much anger and vitriol in the tabloids... which was later collected, cut out and attatched to a gallery wall). So it's like there it is both porn and art doing both purposes individually and together.
Jeff Koons did a series 'made in heaven', which is really high quality massive photographs of him fucking his wife, and you walk into a room surrounded with close up 2m wide photographs of her asshole or something, and it's really funny. Like not arousing at all, but just really amusing. You've got these 60 year old posh guys in their tweed jackets and stuff leaning into a picture of Ilona with cum round her mouth, and without any sense of self awareness, stroking their chin going 'hmmmm' as if it's a Rembrandt or something. Ilona was a porn star, so again the question of whether it can be porn is raised, but then it has Koons' highly superficial sheen over it, so it's so surreal and decorative that it's not at all erotic.
There's also this artist I was reading about back then who would get paid by wealthy clients to have sex with her, and that was her art work, though by time I started reading about this I'd kinda got bored and was more interested in why Michaelangelo was painting demons with gaping assholes(Lower-right)

Thinking back at uni, quite a lot of my work was combining bondage and fetish with animalistic and pagan concepts. The Wicker Man-meets-Caligula-Meets-Texas Chainsaw massacre.

Maaaaaan I'm boring.

EDIT: Fuck it, they're not even erotic, more like funny, so possibly sfw if you work with people with a sense of humour.

i am really interested in mental models, nonfictional narratives, the Big Ideas that people use to make sense of the world... and especially, the history of these ideas, almost treating them like they are living things: where were they "born", what were their earliest successes and failures, how did they rise to be the top of the pack, what weird & unique behaviours/situations/artifacts came about through their quirks, what eventually killed them off.... this is i think the recurring theme in adam curtis TV stuff that i find really compelling...

This thread is now about Adam Curtis.
I think the dude's got a lot of his stuff pretty sound. However I think he does sink too far into, well, being dismissive of the concept of idealologies, leading some of his documentaries to be distant and machine-like, which is something he regularly targets as a main issue of modern life. It extends a bit far from journalistic neutrality and becomes a hypocritical judgement. Like when talking about the stupid idea of treatming of game theory, his approach towards it could be described as the same kind of cold logic he bemoans. There's kinda a half-liberal half-conservative kinda centrist viewpoint going on in there, but there's no real consistency.

I like what he does and find it refreshing that the BBC actually comission shows like The Power Of Nightmares (which I would recommend everybody watch as it's a good crash course in the myth of the 'terrorist' situation), but he kinda falls victim to his own trap. Saying that people who don't believe in anything fear anyone who believes in something, yet Curtis has openly admited, he has no firm beliefs. Some people take his word as gospel truth, but I think you've got to have some understanding of a subject before watching his shows on it so you can appreciate the fine points you may have not realised, within a bigger picture that you're already aware of.

Also on an asthetic level, the frequent use of Brian Eno's ambient works as well as Chaplin's score for The Great Dictator really work wonders and match the visuals/themes to a suprising accuracy. Also the minimalist post-Barbara Krueger BLOCK TEXT and straight-foward no bullshit visual style is really pleasing in a time where documentaries generally go way over the top with flashy graphics to hide the fact that they've got nothing much to say. He doesn't shut up or pause for dramatic effect, or allow some CGI dildo to fly around the screen for a minute after every point he makes, and thankfully he doesn't treat the shows like a 'personal journey' (Looking at you Horizon) it's just constant information, which is how I prefer my docs.

I pop down to that london a couple of times a month as my best bud lives there (just moved to Old Street). Wanna move there at some point, but more like Notting Hill, Camden or Brick Lane, because I'm an annoying hippy. should set up a sw uk meet or something at somepoint.

restarted GTA4 and just taking my time with it, chilling with Roman and just lounging around like a DIGITAL LIFE SIMULATOR because y'know, can't get a real life. But nah, it's good. Even though I've played through it countless times before, it's a solid game, and really cool. Kinda unbelievable how much of a step up from SA it was. Still one of the most believable in-game worlds around. Plus the choice of radio stations (reggae, jazz, fusion, new age, hip hop) is A++++
I like to think of it as a step down in a way. In terms of repetitiveness And less RPG elements.
GTA is not Dungeons And Dragons. Well rounded story and characters far outway gimmicks such as making fat people with afros. I enjoyed all that stuff in SA, but honestly, when you leave Los Santos, the story just goes all over the place as it tries to become Bad Boys. Plus there isn't really much to do in SA, it's all superficial detail and repetative GO AND FETCH stuff. I mean, it's a good game and still miles above the Saints Row stuff, but doesn't feel alive or really have that much depth in what it does. Though to be honest, that could mostly be due to the limitations of the consoles at the time.

A. Nah, I'm terrible. Always trying to improve though. This is classing music as what I do, because music is all I that matters to me. I find my stuff derivative, and while I do enjoy listening to it, I am my harshest critic. Though recently started learning piano/keyboard (as in on monday) and am picking it up quite fast, I mean, I'll never be Art Tatum, but being able to bang out some standards is enough of a target (and can already do Let It Be and House Of the Rising Sun) for now. I still regard myself as a guitarist above all, tend to play more Acid Mothers Temple style freeform expressiveness, though starting to lean towards combining it with Alan Holdsworth's kinda angular approach. I'm also been writting more songs as opposed to instrumental. My lyrics aren't good by any means, but that's something that will improve. My current project is based around the lazy half-formed kinda throw away style of 78-81 era punk, so I'm bitching about the banality of life. Musically though it's being so heavily distorted so that the music looses a lot of it's clarity behind this sizzling texture. I'm aiming for like Metal Machine Music meets The Damned, but I think it'll end up sounding like a 13 year old's first recording.

Q. If you could go on a romantic date with any of the U.S Presidents, which one would it be and why?

People are often suprised when I say I love Reggae/Dub

Also, LOVE Dave Brubeck Quatet. So sad when I found out he died last year, but at least Time Out is an album that'll always be remembered.
