It's time. GW6 is almost done. I've seen a working version. Not the fanfare reveal maybe but it's not 100% yet so who knows panda might suffer a sudden heart attack and back to square 1, but it's coming! And we need some active staffers. I plan on hiring at least six more so when the site goes up we'll have a routine set up instead of the molasses pace going on now. But what does a staffer do?
Well with any site it's nice to have a daily something on the front page to give people incentive to read. You can't bank on a game a day being released, so it's up to articles. We want people to have something to talk about.
Perks Staffers Do NOT Have:
-They have no forum power. So many people have been like "and from a STAFF MEMBER" as if that matters.
-By no forum power they do not have the ability to warn or ban people or immunity from this.
-You do not see the mod forum.
Perks Staffers Do Have:
-Everything premium members have, and for free!
-Access to said premium forums, including the mysterious...zoo...
-A neat little green color.
-A gamingw.net email address.
-Access to the staff forum which will and does function as main site discussion.
-It looks good if you ever want a game journalism job for sure.
Responsibilities for Community Staffers:
-This ain't a hard job, but you're required to write one article over about a week and a half. Divided between the staffers and two blogs, and discounting the regular feature like This Week, it's not too tough to do this.
-Community articles can be about almost anything. Try to keep them somewhat relevant though. Articles about Supreme Court cases will probably go over people's heads, as will analyzing various theories on pi.
-Advice and shit is in the Staff forum, so don't worry.
-The Staff forum also has a subforum where you can post articles and have people give criticism so if you're afraid of any of this entry level shit, don't worry.
How to Apply:
-Send me a PM. In this PM first off tell me what you'd like to write and more importantly why YOU write it better than someone else. Oh you like hiphop, that's nice. Afura here pretty much snorts 90s rap and PTizzle rocks live shows, why are YOU the one to hand over a music beat? I'm making it sound tough, but just tell us not why you want to be a staffer but why you will be a good staffer!

s help even more. If you write shitty articles but you've got a regular series going on, congrats you're better than some of the old staffers.
So this is the annoucement; any questions, or comments, post here. I am saying without exaggeration that while this isn't going to be the last call for staff probably, it is easily the most important. We need to open the new site GOOD. We are the content delivery system.
