that's me, thank you. I'm running out of interesting stuff to play lately though.

here's Johnny 27-36
and while not video games you can find most of his music and videos on this youtube channel
I think all the games from the Sandbox (RIP) are archived... but there's tons of games like cicada said that are just lost forever. gamemakergames.com is 90% dead links from what I've seen so far

not really new/a regular here but I played it a while ago and in my opinion you have to be the kind of guy that finds everything that doesn't make sense funny. some of the things I find the funniest are sort of subtle, like all the semi-obscure game rips. the background of the dating sim part is from a nancy drew game which I played like 15 years ago, that made me flip out. the whole dating sim part is great too and somehow I think without the girl's dumb look it wouldn't be as funny. "may be erotic for child" was great too

some things I found the funniest: the shrekmono (imagine if the meme didn't exist), incan gold, columbus day transformation, all of truckpump, vinceborg writing the furry poem, barkley/other character's weird outbursts (so desu ne, gatdam, baka, etc), gun's, the obvious plotholes, out of place sprites, and many more

I think thecatamites' Goblet Grotto kind of has this sense of humor but to a more insane degree, and some of million dollar extreme's stuff (example paradigm shift)

so I remember someone posting about the secret community of people on youtube who are obsessed with vintage toilets.

somehow this baffles me more, apparently there's people who buy MREs (meal ready to eat) and review them. here's a video of some guy eating a canadian MRE from 1945: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WrtJpgofAc

Edit: I guess what would make me happy is if someone uncovered a webpage of completely legitimately interesting RPG Maker games, but they were never part of any scene, and literally the person got enough enjoyment out of experiencing their own game that they didn't feel the need to share it on any message board/website/whatever. With 99% of RPG Maker games I get the feeling like they made something to share with other people/only enjoyable creative experience in that context? Something like Yume Nikki I get the impression "ok so guys I made a thing, I'm just gonna go dump this on the internet and make of it what you will"

in my search for obscurity I found a thing like that with hundreds of japanese rpg maker games but most of them have the default screen and have japanese memes and stuff. you can try to filter the bad ones out by the byte size but I still think there may be some hidden gems
http://www.geocities.jp/easiest4/hokanf02.html

example: went to random page and downloaded a game called "untitled", only 1 map and it's just a short cutscene of a ms paint fight. then a looping gif from some japanese show is shown with music. then it ends. oh and also you usually need to import a rpg_rt.exe from a game you have

RE: cicada on Lovey Bahn
the synopsis/description of the books are amazing but I wonder what's actually in the books. 50 pages of schizophrenic babble or 1 page copied 50 times?? only the true collectors know...

also ragnar I really like your music and my favorite thing about them is usually the titles (some of them will give me headaches though)

I believe gods17 AHEM sorry green cicada mentioned Kimberly Kubus awhile back... I took it upon myself to archive his music on youtube and will eventually upload his films, which are the best.

reminds me of some horrible (in a good way) edutainment games I used to play at my local library. I think it's the UI of the OS and menu thing. I said this before when you posted a year ago but it's like somewhere between Necrobius (basically western Eastern Mind) and Myst, but more towards Myst. I've been reading through the thread on tigsource and it's amazing, the OS is the best thing. and it baffles me that you're doing this in AGS (also that rar file you uploaded is 10mb but unpacked the files are like 70mb??? magic??)

I have Windows 7 and everything works fine. the transition of the words sometimes goes up down or right left. digging the music too. i gave the guy the shiny key but he keeps cloning himself. is that actually a lemon or something else that starts with "lem"...?
