Hey guys!

I built a computer a few days ago, it has been running like a dream until now when it has sort of just STOPPED WORKING.

Earlier today before I went out, I shut it down, now I come back and when I turn it on, there's no display going to my monitor and to me it sounds like the fans are going absolutely fucking nuts, but I'm not sure if it's anymore than usual. These are the specs:

PSU: 650 W
CPU: Intel i7 950
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 5850
RAM: 4gb (2x2 gb) Kingston
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R MB

It seems to BOOT because if I plug my headset in, I can hear Windows boot up after like 30 seconds, and then when I hit the power button it does the usual noise for hibernating Windows. Basically yeah, there is no display outputting to the monitor (I've tried both DVI and HDMI input), and no beeps from the motherboard either - I'm not 100% sure if I've got a motherboard speaker on there mind you.

So here I am GW, help me out if you've got any good suggestions!

EDIT: There is no motherboard speaker. This would probably be a good idea.

This happened to me once with a  new computer but I'm sure my problem isnt yours. My power button would seem to be stuck in without me noticing causing it to auto shutoff on me. It had a weird way of being undetectable since the actual power button would be out but the inside rubber piece would be stuck in. Maybe, just maybe you could check your power button lol. Sorry for not really helping.

Nah, it's definitely not that - the computer boots into windows and everything fine, and does the little windows TING when I push it again to turn it off. Thanks for the idea tho!
