my friend made a music documentary, and he wants to know what people think of it. do you guys like it/hate it/are bored by it? opinions!
i know the camera used / the sound quality is pretty terrible but other than that, the material itself/how it was all shot?

it was alright.

But "the toronto music scene" kind of alienates anyone that isn't somehow involved with that area's music scene.

What I'm trying to say is I watched a couple minutes of it but since I'm not from toronto and couldn't care less about toronto indie bands I didn't bother to keep watching it.

Edit: I thought it looked great and if I was from toronto or something like that then I might actually like and hold interest in this but as of right now because I am not from toronto this is about as entertaining as watching a documentary on carpenter ants.

Yeah, I couldn't get through all of it really. It's well shot, edited and structured; even with the subpar visuals and quality. My main problem was that the material was not presented in an interesting, engaging way from the beginning. Nothing really pops out that tells me, "gotta watch dis gotta learn more". I've seen student docu's about like overpriced textbooks, which despite it's boring ass "oh it's overpriced" bullshit, had been executed in a way that actually drew me in.

the only interesting people were the bearded guys from the US, I guess what I've learned now is that there's nothing interesting about the Toronto music scene!
