Kate Moore wins National Texting Championship

Kate Moore, a 15 y/o from Des Moines Iowa has recently won the Nation Texting Championship. She can text the fastest in all the nation.
I personally wish to congratulate Kate on her amazing performance, and look forward to seeing a texting competition at the next Olympics. And hopefully she'll invest that 50k she won into something responsible like a texting training facility. Teaching other girls, and maybe even boys, some texting techniques would be great for them, and would give them all a huge boost in confidence that they can text with a champion. Texting takes a lot of skill, and a lot of creativity. It's more of an art form really.

if you imagine the number of people that text being number 1 is a big deal a guess. it's kinda like being the best at sitting on your thumb though.
i saw a video of some worlds fastest texter vs some morse code dudes and the morse code won. morse code is cool.

it's fairly rude to do in a lot of circumstances. our old prime minister was caught texting during some speech by the queen or something it was pretty funny. she represented us well i thought.

I think it's pretty fair to draw a line between people who text on their phones sometimes and people who text on their phones ALL THE TIME. Like, people who go out with friends and then spend literally all night texting to other friends. If you want to talk to those people, GO FUCKING HANG OUT WITH THEM. It's a little annoying, no?
Today at the subway station some fat lady sat next to me and started texting. She looked away, and I looked over and read what she was texting. Normally I would not do this since a) I am not nosy b) I don't care and c) It's kind of weird BUT she was kind of gross so I was like "who could this lady be texting?". Reading her message, it appeared as though she was having a running conversation with someone via text message. Like you might on AIM or MSN. She even said "going underground, be back in the ten minutes". Why not just call the person? WHY?

if you're at a computer then I understand using aim or whatever. If you want to leave a message I understand texting. texting is actually real useful for any information you would otherwise have to write down and mass communication stuff as well, so it's not completely stupid. it's also useful for silent messages but this is defeated by CRAZY FROG RINGTONES
