Word up.
I'm looking for some suggestions for games that have pretty decent Offline Co-Op mode on the 360. I don't have Xbox Live (reason being is pure laziness rather than anything else) and I'm finding playing vidcons on my own to be quite an unrewarding experience. I'm not sure how many games with this actually exist but some suggestions would be pretty great. Also, before you mention them I already have Gears of War(s) and Resident Evil 5!
Cheers!
Edit: Oh yeah, if it makes things any easier I'm not really fussed about genre I'll basically play anything. I'm expecting most replies to be some kind of games with GUNS in them and thats not a problem I like games with guns in. I'll take anything though.

Is your Xbox hooked up to the internet at all? If so download Worms 2: Armageddon. If not I don't know what to suggest.
edit: wait you don't have to have xbox live to use the marketplace do you? i forget how all this works
-
Yeah I don't even have access to the MarketPlace! Besides I'd rather play regular Worms Armageddon, I'm very very suspicious about the Next Generation of Worms (though I have played Worms 2: Armageddon and it's alright)

halo i guess if your into that

Yeah man sadly there isn't a whole lot, I'm in the same position as you, wanting offline co-op stuff. From a quick scan of the wiki article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cooperative_games_for_the_Xbox_360#America.27s_Army:_True_Soldiers):
Army of Two
Earth Defense Force 2017
Eternal Sonata in battle mods if you're really into that sorta thing (it's not very thrilling)
Halo 3
Kameo is... boss mode only or something? I know the whole thing isn't co-op
Kane and Lynch
Left 4 Dead - 2 players split-screen
Lego anything
Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad
The Outfit
Rock Band/Guitar Hero: World Tour (bleh)
Simpsons Game
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1/2
Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2
Unreal Tournament 3
There's a lot more if you system link, but eh! Who has two 360s and TVs, along with two copies of the game, just lying around?
-
yeah halo 3 and rainbow six vegas co-op are the most enjoyable i think. use flight helmet and balaclava to dress as a power ranger
-
army of two co-op is pretty fun. the game isn't that great but co-op is a lot more enjoyable.
-
Marvel Ultimate Alliance, The Outfit, Army of Two, and Blazing Angels has good co-op. The upcoming Borderlands and Army of Two: The 40th Day will have offline co-op as well.

I'm so bored of my 360. I need more games. RE5 sucks. Looking forward to CoD MW2, and Lost Planet 2.

Pretty much every sports game allows you to team up with a friend, but for best results, I advise three players on the same team in NBA Homecourt. It's brilliant.
-
has anybody played that new co-op spyro game? it looks cool but its a little expensive for a spyro game yet.
-
has spyro ever been good
i can't remember it ever being good

I definitely second this (sports games in general that is). Me and my roomie have had a lot of fun with NHL 09 and normally I don't even like sports games. Other than that I have no idea. I was about to suggest Halo / Gears of War / Resident Evil 5 myself so yeah. :<

Gears of War series is pretty good for co-op and since you don't have Xbox Live Gold you still have access to the market if you connect your Xbox up to the net. Just on Silver you can't play online with games and get delayed releases for new demos and such.
Halo 3 is pretty fun for co-op as well but the experience is short lived and only really great on Legendary. Resident Evil 5 is another one, and Left 4 Dead for sure, great fun.
