I want to get something pretty nice from my shipping money.
Something with a fairly wide screen, HD, very fast and will be able to play all the new comp games coming out for a good while at high spec. Its got to be a laptop because I'll need it to travel with. I'm willing to spend from 1000$-1500$ on a nice one but it needs to be able to play da games.\
I'm looking around new egg right now and I don't really know what I want because I don't know very much about comp specs or what the hell they're supposed to come with to be good nowadays (gettin old).

Laptops really aren't made for gaming. For that price range you can get a decent one that plays newer games at medium-high. However, laptops don't age as well as desktops so what's good now is pretty much crap in a year or so.
