i plan on printing a series of simple b&w pictures i took in nyc and putting them in thin black frames for my room by the end of this summer.

chinatown was really intense. probably 10x the size of the one in toronto, and smellier too

central park. apparently the little arena with dinosaur jr/the walkmen was "full" so most people just hanged out outside and listened to the music.

the subway was v. hot. it didn't help that it was 35+ degrees outside, either. it was also really confusing and extensive.

a really cool bar in east village. one of, if not the first bars in nyc. all the bartenders are over 80 years old and have been working there their whole lives. they don't take any shit. apparently soldiers back in wwi used to leave wishbones (as seen in the first pic) and when they would come back from overseas they would break them. those are all ones that still remain here to this day. the dust is ancient. they only serve two types of beers; light and dark -- both are brewed downstairs and has been for over a hundred years. it's really good. oh, and i never got id'd in nyc so i didn't even need my friend's fake.
