I would like to setup three or four monitors on my computer. I want the screens to have individual properties but also be connected in a panoramic fashion. Can I add more video cards or should I get a ready made unit that supports several monitors? If so, where's a good place to look for one?

Welcome to GW.
You might have better luck in the Tech forum with this question. You can find it here (http://www.gamingw.net/forums/index.php?board=158.0).

You could get something like Matrox triplehead2go, unless you want to get a video card that supports 3-4 monitors out of the box. I would suggest the triplehead2go or something similar if you're planning on using it for gaming, that way you can just get a very powerful video card and not have to worry about how many external monitors it supports.

I tried building my own multi-screen computer but I got a lot of crashes etc.
I finally broke down and bought a really nice Four Monitor system and it runs great.
Here's what I got and I'm very happy with it:
Multiple Monitor Computer (http://www.multi-monitors.com/SUPER_PC_Multi_Screen_Computer_Multi_Monitors_com_p/mmcnws02.htm")
Quad Screen Multi-Monitor Display (http://www.multi-monitors.com/DELL_Multi_Screen_Display_Multi_Monitors_com_p/4lcds01.htm")
It pretty much looks just like this following video, except that the bezel is black on mine....
Multiple Monitor Computer Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_avGStqZOI")
It all cost about $2,500 with the computer and Quad LCD Display.
I hope that helps you out!
