Game Overview
Legionwood is a console style RPG made using RPG Maker VX. Legionwood is my attempt at creating a nostalgic and familiar RPG experience reminiscent of the classics of the early 90's such as Breath Of Fire and Crono Trigger.
Legionwood features a massive world filled with adventures and side quests, and is expected to contain over 20 hours of gameplay and four huge story driven chapters.
While it isn't revolutionary and contains gameplay that is for the most part bog standard RPG fare, Legionwood is designed to be that way; familiar and fun for RPG fans looking for a casual game to play.
Storyline
The world of Legionwood. Once upon a time, it was prosperous and full of technological
wonders. About three thousand years ago, a mysterious phenomena demolished most of
mankind's cities, and as a species, they had to start again. This much, archaeologists and
scholars know from the ancient ruins of technological cities and fortresses dotted throughout
the most barren parts of Legionwood's surface.
After at least two millennia had passed, mankind had begun to re-establish itself as the
planet's dominant species. Major inventions were being rediscovered, and technological
development had finally reached a medieval period. It was at this time when everything began
to go wrong. Legionwood has always had war, but suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere began
a furious and unpredictable world war that raged for years and devastated cities and nations
worldwide. This terrible conflict, known as the Great War, ended as suddenly as it began, with
no mention of its cause or conclusion to the public, and mankind began to pick up the pieces.
Now, one thousand years have passed since the Great War came to an end. Since that
terrible time, makeshift peace treaties have ensured there have been only minor conflicts over
the last centuries, but once again technology is on the rise, and half truths and legends about
the Great War and its origins are prevalent in popular culture.
Each country, empire and kingdom fears its neighbours, and only reluctantly are peace ties
held in place. In a last ditched effort to try and maintain some sort of peace between the rival
kingdoms of Charn and Trevelle, the king of Charn has decided to hold a celebration and
festival to honor his new daughter's birth. Everybody in attendance is expecting a good time,
but a key figure linked to Legionwood's dark past of conflict and death has been biding his
time, and has decided that now is the perfect time to stage a new Great War and political
upheaval.
Game Features
- A character driven story full of twists, turns and red herrings, and an intended gameplay time of
around 20 hours.
- 6 playable characters, each one with a distinct personality, which you can mold into your own
custom character classes to suit your combat style.
- Turn based combat with an emphasis on tough opponents and using skills, rather than
mashing "attack" over and over. Think, don't button mash!
- A custom soundtrack, composed entirely of non comercial game music, some exclusive
to Legionwood.
- Collect, raise and summon 5 elemental spirits to aid you in battle! Summon level up, learn skills
and fight just like your party members!
- Innovative Ability Point system by KGC allows you to choose which bonuses you gain in level ups,
so you're free to decide which role your characters fill in your battle plan.

Attention!
The beta testers I used at school seem to have not informed me of a few audio errors which occur in the mid areas of the game. As a result, I've released a new 800kb self applying patch to fix these. This patch will also perform the same operations as the last one.
If you're downloading the game from scratch, please get this latest patch. Unfortunately the patch will not work for those who've already used the first patch I posted yesterday. You can still fix these problems without redownloading however, by following these steps:
1. Go into Legionwood 3.1/Audio/BGM folder.
2. Copy "jbsm024" and rename it to "Crysta".
3. Copy "jbsm010" and "jbsm026" and rename them to "06a-Battle-Field" and "Terranigma - Sad Theme" respectively.
-
Download link sucks. I just get the message "No such file with this filename(Legionwood_3.0.zip.html")(Legionwood_3.0.zip)"
-
Gotta remove the quotation mark from the end, then the link works fine:
http://www.turboupload.com/j9ifffy6shoh/Legionwood_3.0.zip.html
Same problem with these other links:
www.bluesophia.net
www.rpgrevolution.com
Why do we see that problem constantly on this message board?
Links not working because of an added quotation mark that shouldn't be there?

Thanks, i hadn't noticed that quotation mark. Normally I'd have noticed but winters here and I'm feeling like I should be hibernating or someething. Anyway ta for the heads up!

Sorry, I just copy and pasted the thread contents from RRR, which uses a different hyperlinking system. For some reason, it leaves " marks on some forums. Anywhoo...
Update!
I've realised that I actually posted the wrong patch to download; it doesn't fix the tree blocking Hawkshire. I've released a new patch (which I should have posted initially) which I had mistook the other patch for. I don't keep a very organized computer. Sorry about the problems!
Check out the original post for a link.
This new patch will work on both the original unpatched version of the game AND the version already patched with the previous patch.
-
Update!
To circumvent all of the patching that has to be done, I've uploaded a new version of the game with all of the problems fixed and at a smaller size too (58MB).
To move your save files over, do this:
Copy and paste the Quest*.rvdata and Quest*.bmp into the new directory, or simply reinstall over the old game's directory.
-
Update:
I discovered the problem! My RPG Maker VX was for some reason failing to save changes to my game (no doubt since it's in Program Files and my Vista changed security settings lately) so every time I thought I was fixing a problem pointed out by my beta testers, I really wasn't! I reinstalled RMVX, reset the security settings and released a new patch which fixes the few problems left in the game's final areas. Just apply it to the latest version of the game. (Either the raw download or one that's already had patches 1 and 2 applied).
I am sorry for this very much. Damn Vista...
-
This game looks promising, but when I try to leave the first town, a message appears saying "Unable to find file Audio/BGM/jbsmc033," and the game closes. I applied that new patch you just released but no luck.
I checked and the file IS there.....any ideas?
-
Is that comma at the end supposed to be there?
jbsmc033, <--- comma at the end
If it is, then try adding a comma to the end of the file's name.
-
This whole topic is a mess of posts, patches and i'm not sure what the fuck is going on. Dark Gaia, can you pre-patch the corect version and upload, then get one of the mods to delete all the confusing posts? I mean is the 8+ hours playtime including 6 hours figuring out which version to patch?

Funny you should say that as I've actually downloaded this game 3 times during the past week.
I was about to download it yet again, but when I saw that DrgnSwrd found yet another game crashing bug just now, I figured I'd wait for the next patch or version instead.
-
No, there wasn't a comma at the end of the message. The comma's just there for grammar reasons. I guess it's cause all my teachers were grammar nazi's, and I guess it rubbed off on me.
There was a period, though, so I tried adding the period to the end...still no luck...
-
I'm sorry. I have an internet speed of 20kb per second. This means it takes me about 6 hours to upload a new version of the game, which lately I haven't had time to do, so I've been uploading patches instead. Currently, there is one download, and two patches. Download the game, and add the two patches in order and you're done. I really would like to do more, I normally would upload prepatched files but I don't have the connection for it anymore.
If somebody wants to, I'd appreciate it if someone could download the latest release, apply both patches, and upload it somewhere, then I can post the link here and it's more convenient for everyone. I'd really appreciate that.
@DrgnSwrd: I've fixed that. For some reason, RPG Maker VX was having a script error and wasn't processing sound files properly. I don't know what caused it, but I reinstalled RPG Maker VX and it fixed it. So, I've released a patch to fix the problem. Just apply it to the version you've been playing.
Now, since I've fixed both my RMVX and my Vista which was causing the problems, the game is fully working and I've had players successfully reach the end.
Update:
The final version of Chapter 3 is now out with all problems fixed. Simply download the installable file, and then download Patch 1 and Patch 2, apply them IN ORDER, and the game is ready. I apologize for my slow connection.
-
The second patch won't install.
I get this error:
(http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/6334/ohno.png) (http://img63.imageshack.us/i/ohno.png/) (http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/ohno.png/1/w1024.png) (http://g.imageshack.us/img63/ohno.png/1/)
-
You did install both patches in order right? With the new version? I've tested it and they work. If not, you CAN play the game with just the first patch, simply take the one MP3 file in the BGM folder, and rename it to "jbmsc033". Thats all that patch does anyway.
You are restarting your computer after each patch application right?
-
I followed the instructions you gave after re-downloading the game from the new link.
First, install game.
Then install first patch (Legionwood_3.1_Fix_4)
Then restart
Then install second patch--which is where I got that error.
I just tried the whole process again, only this time I also restarted after installing the game, but still got that error with the second patch.
So, I just renamed the mp3 like you said.
Hopefully that will work.
EDIT--
This link is dead now: http://www.freewarefiles.com/Legionwood_program_52235.html

hi...i just downloaded ur fixed and patched version of game....it still has that error...i looked in
the bgm folder..and i found 2 copies of that jbmsc033 file..and if u look at them both they are
differant....could that be the problem??..ty for any info.
wraptorman...aka....alan
-
Dude, no luck. I'm STILL getting that stupid error..... What the #@%$ is up with this thing?
-
This game has more bugs than Rise Of the Robots. You said people have played through it? How reliable are these people and are they on crack?
I selected play intro and got this:

Skipping intro and playing through the market scene got me this:

Update:[/u]
For the matter of convenience, I've uploaded a fully pre-patched file to RapidShare. This version is a simple .rar file which you can unzip and play. Unfortunately it still contains my beta tester's save file. Check out the first post for the link.
In other news, I discovered the source of the annoying sound error. The game requires a file called "jbsmc033" not "jbmsc033." SM - Not MS.
I am so terribly sorry about this. I've taken the time to play through the game myself now, and it works perfectly. Blame Vista for the main source of the troubles. It was preventing my VX from saving changes I made to the game, thus the huge amount of patches.
@Confused: You needed to just copy "23MonOhVirgilRise" not rename it outright. That's why the intro was screwing up. As for the other file, read above. It'll work for you now. Please believe me, I'm very sorry this release was such a disaster.
-
ok redownloaded this supposedly fixversion ...still has same error..can u maybe download it to
another puter....and see if u get the error..the reason u might not be getting it on ur own puter is
cause.....it has all the files...and ur game doesent...please try something else...ty again....
-
ok i found out whats wrong....now if u download from rapid share ..u shoulndt have any
problems...but from MEGAUPLOAD..that version isnt updated...so ONLY DOWNLOAD FROM RAPID
SHARE...just went throught the 1st cut scene and out the of town and it works fine now....wtg...ty
again for ur respounces....
-
Well, I tried to follow Dark Gaia's instructions for how to patch & fix the previous version.
I guess I didn't do it right, sorry everyone.
To make up for it, here's another mirror for the newest update:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7L4DJYB8
I included the Manual & Fonts, since they weren't inside the Rapidshare download.
And here's a download for the Manuals & Fonts only for everyone who already downloaded the latest game from the new Rapidshare link:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R14CYGMM
-
Thanks very much SegNin for that upload, I appreciate it heaps. I'm adding the links to the main post now. Oh and for those people who are playing SegNin's previous upload, you can negate the error by renaming "jbmsc033.mid" to "jbsmc033.mid".
Minor Bug Update:
The second floor of the Burkewych Inn is not accessible unless you go into Legionwood/Audio/BGM and copy and rename "jbmsc024" to "Crysta".
-
I will never play this because it is made with RmVx. THE end.
-
Umm... May I ask if you can elaborate a bit? Why should the maker I used matter? It's the game itself that counts.
-
I have a suggestion; use original portraits. RMVX games keep using the same stock portraits over and over. It's like how RMXP games keep using the same stock music repeatedly. By using original portraits, your game would become all that more it's own.
-
Issues I'm seeing:
Lots of trailing cursors that don't erase (Battle, Blacksmith, etc)
If an enemy evades an attack and then uses certain skills, it'll show them "Evade" again (ex: Bat's Drain skill)
Critical modifier is too much (hitting 600+ at level 3 is a bit excessive I believe)
It's pretty fun and pretty pretty, I'm enjoying it, but there are some graphical issues, and in my opinion, your formulas seem a bit too steep.
Edit: 'kay, you really need to reset the hit/evasion back to default every time a character takes action. I just dodged Healing Light (and consequently died). That shouldn't happen.
Also; heal doesn't work in the menu (magic heal, items work fine).
Edit++: Got to the ship, and now I get a Stack Depth error.
-
Aargh, those Stack errors! I don't have any clue what causes them but for some reason they only occur once. The second time you reach that part it won't happen funnily enough. I'll take on board your other comments, I'm rescripting the combat ratios and such right now for the next version. Glad you enjoyed it.
-
Stack errors are caused by shitty scripts that misuse aliases.

UPDATE NEWS
A new release is currently on the way, expected to arrive in mid January. While it isn't a new chapter release, it is still a release worth getting, due to the fact that it addresses most of the criticisms people have about Legionwood.
In short: This is a version of the game designed to get rid of the things people hate about Legionwood and make it a more appealing game to the people who currently despise it.
Features
I've decided to pretty much overhaul Legionwood as I've decided I want to make it into a game that everyone can play that is fun to play. I'm addressing the most pressing criticisms about the game and turning the game into a more casual game overall. I don't want to make a revolutionary game; just one that is fun and does what it does well. Thus, whether you're a fan of Legionwood already, someone who's never played, or someone who despises the game with a passion, I urge you to try this new release, as it is a new Legionwood and one which I've engineered to appeal more to you.
1. Every line of dialogue in the game and every cutscene will be streamlined and rewritten, and will flow smoother and more naturally.
2. The issues with balancing in the early areas of the game (which thankfully do even out later on) will be resolved. The early game difficulty will more closely match the later areas of the game. You will be able to clear the first dungeon at level one.
3. Several skills and items will be rebalanced as some are too weak/too powerful.
4. Focus will be taken off characterisation and placed upon the story instead. I agree: Legionwood is always awkward in the scenes where I make the characters try to characterise so the story will now become more world driven.
5. A complete playtest will be done and every reported bug and sound error will be fixed.
6. Chapter three will be extended slightly. You'll be able to proceed to Castoth's fortress this time around.
Release Notes
Despite all these massive changes, those currently playing the game will be able to use their save files to continue if they want to.
@Craze: I don't use shitty scripts, I use ones made by well known scripters like Woratana for example. Maybe I simply use too many?

Update/News - Jan 2010
Hey there everyone!
As I type this, the fourth release of Legionwood is busy being uploaded onto RMN's servers where with luck it will be available to download soon. With that said, if it isn't there when you try to download it, it most likely hasn't been approved yet, so try back in a few hours and it probably will be.
As Legionwood is my main project, I've invested quite a lot of time into it so far (bordering two years now) so it wasn't a very difficult decision in the long run to try and pinpoint people's major concerns with the previous versions of Legionwood and spend time addressing these things and reworking the game to a more likable state rather than simply pressing on with yet another chapter with those problems unfixed, so the main draw of this release is simply being able to see a refined, redone version of Legionwood rather than seeing new content.
In summary: This is the new Legionwood. The game you know is still in there, except now it's different. The bad parts nobody liked are gone, and the good parts have been made much, much better. This is Legionwood in its best form yet. Hopefully if you didn't like the game before, this version will prove to be much more appealing to you. I've worked very hard. Special thanks go to the folks of RMN and HB Games for helping me with this.
For those who were expecting new content however, don't despair! This version of Legionwood brings with it a bigger, expanded chapter three with about a full hour's worth of new story material and quests, plus these little additions as well:
- Rewritten dialogue from the start of chapter one to the end of chapter three. Cut scenes now flow more naturally, are not as boring as they once were and are somewhat shorter too.
- New battle system! The battle system has been upgraded to a later, smoother running version of the Tankentai script, so you can expect new battle abilities based on Tankentai's unique animation capabilities. As well as this, you can expect semi-new battle backgrounds and every single enemy being rebalanced and tweaked to make for an easier but still challenging game.
- Tweaked and rebalanced character stats and growth. Level ups have been made a lot weaker in terms of stat boosts so emphasis is now on the AP system to develop your character (as was originally intended) plus all characters now have roughly the same stat growth, meaning now you truly can create your own class as all restrictions that existed before, such as characters obviously being geared towards spellcasting etc, have been removed.
- New, shorter game intro which is somehow as (if not more) informative storywise as the last one despite only being a tenth as long.
-
Please tell me this download is fully tested. I'm NOTgoing through that patching/redownloading shit again.
-
Stack errors are caused by shitty scripts that misuse aliases.
Heh, I just learned about this...
Basically what happens is the program is trying to grab the file from a "stack"... you've "stacked" another Alias (or reference) over the first alias the program is calling (it can't take something from the middle of the pile) so it causes a crash... atleast I think that is what's going on.
Granted I've been really tired the last few days and falling asleep in this class (waking up at 6:30 every morning does not fit with my sleep patterns... stupid body)
I would test this, but my internet isn't really reliable enough to download something large (I use satalite internet which likes to D/C at random times, while also randomly increasing pings or kicking me out of online games at crucial times... how does it always know when I'm needed? x.x)
-
Yeah two bits of good news: I fixed the stack errors and rather than letting others beta test this for me I played it from start to end MYSELF so you can be sure it works first time this time. Anyone who was around for One Night 3's release knows I cleaned up my act.
Keep in mind though one thing I didn't change is the difficulty. If you found Legionwood hard before, it's roughly the same now. I love hard RPGs, so I tend to make my own ones that way. With that said, you can survive the battles if you think as I and my friends have done.
Here's some advice from a beta tester:
Okay, very simple to survive in Legionwood but you gotta be prepared. Buy Lann the heaviest, strongest weapons and armor you can get but buy Liara the mage's cloak, whip and hat. Now, go and buy Liara the 3 elemental spells and Healing Light, while you get Lann double strike and study enemies.
Finally, enter the menu, select Character, and in the status screen hit A. Spend Lann's AP on Attack and Defense, spend Liara's on Intellect and Defense.
Now spend whatever cash you have left on peptides.
Proceed to Selatan Plains. Have Lann attack in battle and Liara cast spells. Use Salves if wounded and peptides if low on SP. Hang around near the save point until you reach level 2 and you can relax
The golden rule with Legionwood is to not spam attack. In the game's early areas, heal if you fall below 60% of your max HP, and do make sure you cast spells. Also, make sure you spend AP at every level up as without it you cannot raise your stats high enough to survive.
-
You may want to find some new beta testers (if you have any), because I've found two "bugs" in the Selatan Plains alone.
• After the battle at the beach to get the cat, the battle background for the area doesn't reset to the original background until you either enter the cave or return to the world map.
• After activating the save point, whether you save/heal or not, pressing the Space Bar afterward adds two party members that you have yet to encounter to your group. I haven't tried this in other areas, however.
Something else I would suggest adding to your game would be events that block moving events from entering a doorway on the inside of houses. From the first village, I walked into the blacksmith and the old man there walked into the doorway, therefore blocking my exit and forcing me to sit there until he moved back out. Although not game-breaking, it is still annoying having to wait for events to move out of my way for me to continue.
-
Thank you for the reports. I do have beta testers but my head tester is rarely around and he does do a great job. I'll recruit some more.
The first bug you reported I will fix, though the battleback should be... nevermind, I just realised I left in a relic from a deleted event.
The second bug makes me frown in puzzlement. Never ever has anyone reported this, nor is there any eventing in place that would cause such a thing to happen...
EDIT: Found it. It was a debug event I'd had in place ever since the game's first release two years ago. It's a random floor tile. You just happened to find it. I'm removing it right away. That particular bug won't happen in any other place.
-
Also, in the first town in the upper side of it. In front of "Your House", there's a sign that says that the marketplace is to the west, though from the way that the sign is facing, and your house's location for that matter, it would be to the east.
-
Ah that is true. That's an error on my part. I've released a small patch to fix all these things. I'm glad that the game only needs one patch this time around.
Update:
I've uploaded a small 2MB patch which will fix the following things in Legionwood 3.12:
- You can no longer get stuck landing your ship at Charn Port.
- You can now complete Demonhold Keep.
- Learning Dual Wielding no longer gives you wierd, rare weapons you shouldn't have.
- Kills the bug that adds Thyrra to your party in Selatan Plains...
This patch is essential if you wish to complete the game. I have submitted it to RMN so expect it to be available within twelve hours. It is very easy to apply and fixes all of this version's problems.
-
Just a quick Update!
I have not forgotten Legionwood! I'm currently well into the production of the final release of the game and I'm also doing some minor adjustments to the balancing of earlier parts of the game. The final release will have a game play time clocking in at around 15 hours or so and will include the final dungeon and boss, wrap up the story and its loose ends and will feature the super deadly optional boss which all J-RPG games seem to include as standard.
I'm about 30% through the development of this section right now. This means I've completed about 2 hours of the new content so far. As this is the biggest update and the final release thus far you can expect it to take a bit longer to develop than previous updates, particularly the chapter 3 release. Never fear though; the game is still chugging along!
-
Update[/u]
Legionwood just hit 85% completion! I've just finished adding the final touches to the last town in the game (Makir) which has the final equipment and Tech stores. Now there are just three dungeons to be done along with the ending until the game is finished! Hold your breath!
-
coming back to these forums and seeing a game like this makes me want to get back in to RMing again.
-
holy crap. hi ski.
-
I feel very priveledged that my game has inspired you somewhat. Consequently it's funny as you've come back to RMing and this is my final game.
-
Nah I forgot how to use RM2k(3) and I downloaded the trial for the others and didnt have much interest in them. Good looking game though, I'll try it out.
-
Thanks although it still needs some work in a few areas.

Legionwood just hit 85% completion! I'vejust finished adding the final touches to the last town in the game(Makir) which has the final equipment and Tech stores. Now there is just the final dungeon to be done along with the ending until the game is finished!
(and of course a full test play from start to finish which could take a few extra days)

Most of the early game balancing plus the price of healing items and character speed rates have all been altered for the next release without interfering with save filecompatibility so you can expect a much easier adventure next time round. Also, I've got a cool plan for the "superboss." Essentially, there are five weaker "superbosses" that you much kill in order to unlock the final "superboss" who is about ten times harder than the final boss. Defeating him unlocks weaponry that maxes your stats and an ultra hard dungeon which contains armor which contains all benefitial effects and immunities.
In addition, here are in summary the three main new additions/changes in the next version:
Target all spells - It strikes me as crazy why I haven't added one in. I never intended to add in elemental target allsbut a non elemental target all might be a useful addition. I'll make itavailable from Chapter Two onwards as that point would be the bestplace to put it. The idea behind my magic casting system was that youwouldn't be able to speed through battles by hitting everyone for massdamage so much like my favorite FF game (Final Fantasy X) I made all of the spells single target.
Weaker healing items - Good idea. What I've now done is this; you can buy relatively cheap Salves and Peptides which heal exactly 40% of your HPand SP or you can buy the stronger, more expensive items that heal 100%.
Speed of characters early in the game - I don't really want you to spend allyour AP on speed so I cranked up the natural growth rate of your speed stat.
-
Hey everyone... I haven't updated this thread for a while so for those who are interested...
Update
A fan known to me as "kken" has decided to design a complete range of hand drawn art pieces for use in Legionwood. They are of a great quality and he has requested that the game's release be delayed until all of the pieces have been finished so that they can be placed in the game for use in cut scenes and as backgrounds. Scenes such as the conversations between Lann and Alexis on the ship and the conversation in the Royal Tomb (as well as some scenes in the final chapter including the ending) use these art pieces and the game cannot be released until they are all completed.
Thanks for eagerly awaiting Legionwood! I promise you the full game will be worth the wait!
Thought I might show off an example of kken's artwork. This is used in the conversation after the death of Merces in chapter 3.

how do people even figure out how many hours of play their game has, isn't that going to be terribly arbitrary? it's just some junk number thrown on to make their rpgs sound deep
this isn't about this game in particular i just see this on every rm2k game and want to know why people do this

This game has a gameplay timer which I simply look at after I've finished the game to figure out how long it took me.
The day you eagerly awaited probably didn't care about is here at last!
Legionwood is fully complete, and testing is finished! The full game with all four chapters can now be downloaded. Please enjoy! I spent three years of my life toiling to complete this game...
See the first post of the thread for the download link!

Hi everyone! Sadly, I've had to suspend the games downloads in order to upload a new one. My artist, Kken, has requested that I change her name in the credits and I felt I should honour her wish immediately. Thus, I've removed all previous downloads and am uploading a new one to RMN as we speak, which should be available sometime within the next 24 hours.
It will also include a small bug fix. If you've downloaded the current version, don't worry about downloading the new one, just simply go into the BGM folder, copy "Adventure Awaits.mid" and rename it to "BR - Adventure" to fix it yourself.

Against my better judgement, I decided to give this game a go. So far it seems awfully generic, but surprisingly not terrible.

I gave this game a go some time ago and gave up after this shipwreck scene.

@Maxximum: Yes, I kind of brand it as a generic J-RPG. I still did put effort in to make it a decent game though.
@Corfaisus: If you tried the game a long time ago, it's very likely the game is different now. It underwent an overhaul a few months ago assisted by some members of RMN who vehemently hated the game and I managed to win most of them over with the changes I made. Please try it again if you have the time.

I plan on downloading this once the link is working again. I see you had to re-up the game AGAIN. Hope it's bug free this time. I've waited a long time cuz I didn't want to play it before it was really for sure 100% done. :P

Hehehe... I generally use the first week after the release to iron out all the kinks. I'm pretty sure the one I just reuploaded is working fine, though if you want to be safe I'd wait a week or so more.

Too late, I dl'd it last nite and beat chapter 1.
On a related note... I love it. ^_^

Well in this latest release, people have reported getting to the final boss and watching the ending so I guess it works. I'm glad you like it, chapter one's probably the most refined of all, having gone through so many changes over the years.

Just beat the game. Had 27 hours and 33 minutes at the save point right before the final battle starts.
Very excellent game from beginning to end. I literally laughed out loud seeing the final ending scene after the credits.
Count this guy as one who will be eagerly awaiting Legionwood 2.

Glad you liked it. L2 is hanging around somewhere on this forum if you want to play the demo of it.
Build 5 is now out!
If you were waiting for Build 5 to come out so you can start the game, or if you were turned off by the many ellipses and misc. bugs in Build 4, check out the OP for updated links now!
