Title: Spelunky 1.0 (and also Spelunky for Xbox 360)

Apparently Derek Yu's explorational platformer Spelunky is finally out of beta, and he also has plans of releasing a complete remake on Xbox Live.

For those of you who have missed Spelunky, check out this vid or any other Let's Play on YouTube.

I haven't played enough Spelunky to notice any differences between this version and previous releases but apparently it contains "some new surprises" so post if you notice anything new.

I seem to like the Japanese approach to this game.since this game seems to be lossly based on Spelunker.

Spelunky is very different from Spelunker. I much prefer Spelunky as it seems more action-based and less linear. Anyway, I had downloaded version 1.0 of Spelunky a while back and I managed to get the trophies that I couldn't get before. Getting all gold trophies reveals an awesome new surprise, indeed. I wonder what sort of differences the Xbox 360 version will have.

Spelunky is amazing. I love it a bunch.

But yeah, the 360 version is apparently supposed to be pretty different. He doesn't want to make a port or anything, and I think he wants to make it different since Spelunky for PC is already there, free, and Spelunky for 360 will cost money.

I read something like that from the guy, at least. I forget his exact words.


But yeah, awesome game. Haven't beat it yet, but yeah.

I hope he doesn't change too much for the xbox. I mean he can actually just port it and have it for free but ofcourse he would want some sort of income from releasing it on a console. Theres like 3 games on xboxlive that you can download for free. Spelunker looks too slow for my liking. I will try spelunky and see where I get

spelunky is ana amazingly indepth game. the only problem with it is it takes time o show exactly how in depth it is so people sometimes play it and go 'ah its not that great' and put it down without seeing more.

plus version 1 has been out for a month and a half

you apparently have links on how to burn 360 games in your sig. hhaahaahhah

and I stopped playing spelunky after  got bombs because it was pretty boring.
