The Biffy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biffy_Clyro) have just released a new album called Only Revoultions. I've given it a listen once or twice and I have to say it is classic biffy, wonderful scottish rock.
I was a bit disappointed by the opening two tracks which also happen to be the 2nd and 3rd singles released associated with the album (after Mountains which is fawesome). Those two tracks seem kinda empty, not as rich but the rest of the album is a joy. Brilliant.
God and Satan takes me back to Puzzle and machines style acoustic/folk style vocals. They sound so good on the CD. I saw them on Later with Jools Holland on the BBC and they were pretty dire compared to the other live performances that night.
Anyone else been listening to the new biffy?

i heard them on later and thought they were really good. it was a while ago maybe a different show.
do i get this one or their last one?
-
If you want to get into the biffy you should perhaps get Puzzle and the new one. They are pretty consistent in style compared to most bands so you can pretty much pick up any album.
-
i just want one. i'll get the first

only revolutions is really good. born on a horse though is really dumb and so is god and satan

Yeah nothing these guys make is good anymore and it's been that way for awhile.

in my Opinion they need to go back to there root's
-
more songs like bubbles less songs like born on a horse or know your quarry
-
album is trash, biffy are now a formulaic rock band worthy of no attention

JK I've never knowingly heard a biffy clyro song. I wrote them off because off their name

i think now is the point where it has become such a huge part of their music taht it has become terrible
puzzle had redeeming qualities, only revolutions doesnt
