Title: [ADVERT]Altoria a 3D RPG
Post by: Poeman on January 10, 2010, 10:42:55 pm
Altoria is a 3D puzzle Hack n' slash, like Zelda(Not Zelda II I hate that one >_>)
The game tries to be like old school RPG's in sense of atmosphere.
It uses RMVX graphics :3

The current features in the engine are:
3D
Ledge Jumping(When going off an edge you jump, this allows you to reach new heights!)
2D Overlaying with more objects spawnable(nothing you need to worry about, it just makes the game a lot better)
First map 100% done and glitch free
Animated graphics!

The story(Taken from the game itself):
In a world known as Altoria, a great evil has arisen.
The world as it's citizens know it is being destroyed.
Behind it all is a wealthy buisness man named Jarfed.
He wants all the technology to himself and will stop at nothing.
This world consists of 5 towns.
Miro - The Trade City
Shen - The city of warriors
Trinket - The city of inventions
Tiao - The city of water
Lein - The city of government
Our story begins in Miro, where our young Hero learns
the secret of Jarfed, and plans to stop him.

That looks weird. Weird in a totally cool way, tho. Is it gonna be puzzle based like Zelda? I hope so.

Oh, friggin' awesome. =)

Love the style. On these forums you should tag this with [Advert]

This style is a GREAT idea, as you can still do low-res pixel-editing. All of the graphics could be original pretty easily.

It's funny because I was trying to make that very same game for a game jolt contest

I think you should go with minimalist graphics and no textures otherwise it will be a pain in the ass to create all the content

Good luck with that

Thanks for posting!

@Jingle My Bell Bitch, yes it will be with puzzles!

@James The Composer, Thanks, I think I will tag it :D

@Mince Wobley, You were trying to make this game? That's interesting because I came up with the plot myself XD I think you need to reword that better. I can create the content just fine ^_^ and thanks!

THe thing following you is Kato, find out more in the full game :P

It works

But when you die (I think you die) and go to "New game" the hero still has the sword and the slimes are gone
