Publisher: it’s AAA Indie, baby!"
Basically this game is being developed by some Indie developers; they have a little demo up on the site that is incredibly addictive. It plays right in your browser, so there is nothing to download (unless you're missing the Unity plug-in).
It's a AAA Indie title or whatever, essentially they have no real publisher. They depend solely on the community support, and donations. I guess supporters get a little say in the development? I don't really know.

interstellar marines
So why should you care about AAA Indie?
1.Gamers get a say in what games get to the market
2.Gamers can get behind the scenes of the development of games they fancy. No more closed doors development
3.Games can be priced and distributed much more liberally
4.It adds to the diversity of games available
5.It breaks down barriers of entry, opening the games industry up to a new and independant generation of game developers
i guess good luck to indie studios etc but it would be really funny if the title which finally broke down the industry door was INTERSTELLAR MARINES

lol is that a shark on the left in the second screenshot
-
ahahaha it has a "oh just my luck" expression
-
yes, it is. they make lots of jokes about sharks throughout the site.

Now that's something I can relate to.
I clicked on this topic expecting a parody game or someone complaining about how all games are about space marines today. Interstellar Marines.

Looks like a pretty fresh concept.
-
until i hear something about an innovative cover system i cannot get excited for this game
-
hahaha
-
can i play as a shark. this is what i am really interested in here.
-
GAMEOVER. The sharks od'd.
Maybe we should make a project where you play as space sharks jonesing for psychedelic experiences. Unfortunately the INTERSELLAR MARINES are the only ones with da hookup. You have to avoid capture from the INTERSTELLAR MARINES and steal their drugs. We could achieve total immersion through gameplay, graphics, and sound.

I haven't registered yet but I tried it out and it seems pretty interesting so far
Granted I only did the basic target training, it "feels" right
edit: i thought sharks were a silly gw joke
but oh god this is awesome

i'm only interested in this topic if i can play as a shark. nothing else about this possibly interests me as much as the possibility of fighting off marines in the body of a shark. if this becomes an available option please tell me otherwise i bid you all farewell for ever
