Ok so this game came out yesterday but I have not seen anybody talk about but everbody talks about sonic the hedgehog 4
But why this game is good!!!
You can play a demo on the playstation 3 or the xbox 360 but I don't know about wii because I do not have a wii
It is a lot like mario kart actually it is just like it only it has sonic and sega characters
I got to play the demo and it was a lot of fun
Does anybody have this game yet because I want to know if it is as god as the demo

The demo was really fun. He's right it feels like a Mart Kart-type racer... Except that the cars feel like they have actual weight. Like, you're not just sliding around all over the place.
Only thing I have against this is that when you play as Sonic the Hedgehog, you can get the 7 Chaos Emerald power up, and turn Super Sonic.
On my first playthrough, I was so terrible that I was about to be lapped almost. Then I got two Chaos Emerald power ups back-2-back, and was inches from placing first. When in Super Sonic boost mode, you can literally zoom through half the course, blazing by the competition.
It would be interesting to see what other characters get, however it does seem pretty cheap all the same!
My favourite cart racer is Chocobo Racing on PSX. It looked like shit and was basically an advert for FF8 and Chocobo Dungeon 2, but the magic system and abilities were so balanced it remains a game I will play with friends.
Chocobo in this game could dash, and Squall could use a dash-like ability that cut through the competition until you're in first place. They were not nearly as powerful as Super Sonic in this game, and still managed to give that awesome speedy edge. Why did Super Sonic have to be so annoying to me. :(
I really want to ride a motorcycle as Ryo Hazuki. Plus, Sega All-Stars Tennis was an amazing game, so I expect the same here!

Demo was actually quite fun plus the full game has a multiplayer mode which could be interesting. Although like The Dude said, getting the Chaos Emerald power up is way overpowered.. chances are anyone who's lucky enough to get the power up will equal a win for them.

Yeah, I've been looking for this after playing the demo and having a blast. In all honesty, I think I would prefer this to Mario Kart, and this is coming from someone who doesn't really care much for Sonic.
But as I said, I've been "looking" for the game. It released two days ago, but I'm yet to see it anywhere. I'll check the mall today for it since it has three stores worth checking (EBGames, HMV, Sony Store).
I'd really like to try this out on local multiplayer if it has split screen support. Kart racers are always a blast with friends.

I saw this in Game the other day and nearly bought it. Like it looks really good and I've absolutely loved every Mario Kart game thus far, but I've been STUNG by Sonic racing games in the past!!!
Like DRIFT RACING. I mean Sonic R was good solely because of the CHEESY HIGH EMOTION music, but the game itself was really clunky and shit.
I DO NOT WISH TO BE STUNG AGAIN!
But yeah, reading the vague comments on here so far has actually weighted my decision more towards purchasing it than not. Although it'd have been better with Long John Baldry as a voice actor...

I want to like this game but completely honest this game is inches away from being a straight mario kart clone. I mean even the power ups and shit are exactly the same! instead of 3 red shells you get 3 heat seeking rockets, they have a gold mushroom type, etc... It's the same except they have a good set of characters!
It looks like it'll be fun but definitely not paying more than 25 bucks for this kind of game.
Also I'm really upset Banjo is becoming a microsoft mascot because I would really like to see a reunion between rare and nintendo

How is this game compared to Crash Team Racing (PSX)? I loved that game a lot and I never really took to the Mario Kart games (Mario Kart Wii was such a disappointment to me)... they just felt so empty and the track designs so bland. I've been itching for a good kart racer so if this is good I'll get it.

So I got this game and I'm actually impressed. Nice track designs and an easy unlocking system, along with tons of missions to do when you don't feel like plain old racing. The only thing I'm disappointed with is how the battle modes don't have CPUs... it's not as much fun just playing 2 player battle because the arena is just so empty. I would have prefer more mayhem.
