Title: How to start...EVERYTHING!
Post by: duckseatfree on April 09, 2010, 04:03:21 am
Hello to everyone on the board.  I have recently taken an interest in creating games as a hobby (now that i have a bunch of free time).  Only one problem...the only experience I have is a little C++ programming about 10 years ago (in high school).

I wanted everyone's opinion on how I should get started.  I recently bought gamestudio a7 and the Autodesk Maya 2010 suite - and am going through the tutorials.

Any hints...suggestions...tutorials...or other great sites that might help my learning curve?

If you want to do it all yourself however i recomend learning C# and working with XNA. C# syntax isn't that differant from C++
