Title: Edit the rpgmaker 2003 database .ldb file
Post by: Final_tear2 on June 01, 2010, 11:09:01 pm
Yo, I was wondering if its possible to edit the rpgmaker database in some other program other than rpg maker. The problem is that I made a mistake on 6 pages of each monster group I have. There are more than 400 monsters groups so it is not even funny to adjust all those.

Instead I was searching for a program where I can edit the database in so that I can change it a lot faster. I tried Access, MYSQL workbech and notepad ++. But nu success so far. Anyone else an idea?

I don't think anyone has found out a way to manipulate ldb format files. I think they've only managed to open up the map files.

i think you're on your own.

i still have this file (http://cbgames.net/RM2k file formats.xls) from somewhere with some technical details of the rm2k file formats, so someone did make sense of them. at least, for rm 2000.

i don't know if anyone made any special database tools though.

Hmm that's too bad :(, well the error is not that bad though,  Also its kind of stupid that you cannot have common events for monster groups as well, makes things easier  :)

Its just that you cannot do more damage than the max HP of the enemy when you do normal attacks. But I guess that is not such a big deal for the player. especially seeing  all that work to change that. Thanks for the reactions.
