Hey
Well, my friend told me that there was a song that was over two months long, made by a noise band called Bull of Heaven, so after a quick google search, I found their website. Turns out that their song "The Chosen Priest and Apostle of Infinite Space" (Number 118) is 1453 hours long! http://www.bullofheaven.com/
Also, Number 210 "Like a Wall In Which an Insect Lives and Gnaws" is 50000 hours long.
:welp:
Just thought I'd share. And I'm wondering if anyone has that much patience and dedication to freeup a 100+ Gigs of space to listen to Bull of Heaven for a few months (or a few years).

I think this is bull shit because bulls can't go to heaven, it's in the bible that only a strong and faithful camel can go through the eye of a needle into heaven, the rest are too large.

That actually makes sense, seeing as their stuff is to lengthy for earth as well. (Sorry, me being a smart ass I just couldn't let that slip out of context.)

why do traditional paintings of cows always look so weird

didn't listen to much, isn't most of this just stuff slowed down/timestretched a whole lot. Like some dropping a fork, timestretched to 120 hours. Sometimes I slow things down to extremes in Audacity and like whoa this is some wild ambient music but then I feel like some drugged-out weirdo
I did a track that was essentially infinite length because it's all generative techniques

I feel like there's nothing to it save the gimmick itself.
The musicians themselves have probably not even heard it all the way through.

I really hope someday this really happens like the old-fashioned way some ulillia-type person out there composes a 1000-hour fruityloops song
I might download one of the tracks, can you download from that site or bittorrent them somewhere? are there like intense buffering problems involved with such long tracks if you open them up in [music ][/music]
but yeah Brian Eno has been messing with this shit he made some CD you put it in your PC and it's a little different every time. I assume they're throwing shit into an algorithm
but whatever it's always like horrible noise or drone stuff or Autechre let's see a composition of normal music that long - maybe some random Persian guy did this a million years ago on one sheet of paper without being able to hear it we are so fucking spoiled today
oh yeah Brian Eno made 77 MILLION PAINTINGS too

I looked through that list of songs, and I found one at 50,000hours long...
I'll put it on my list of things to do.
