I do, I live in an apartment. I've noticed that most of the time the people who are shipping the item don't even put the address line 2 on the label.

Address Line 2 isn't for your apartment number, that goes in Address Line 1. Address Line 2 is for PO Boxes and c/os, although a lot of places ignore that anyway. It's pretty much useless.

i can see putting your apartment number in address line 2 if the rest of your address is pretty long

I don't know what line 2 is, addresses have lots of lines.
house number/name + building, road name, town name, county name, [country ][/country] post code
That's how I write addresses anyway, and how they are on letters I get. I don't really understand!!

it might be different in the UK idk but in the US it's like
Person's Name 1111 Something Street City, State Zipcode Country if International
The second address line would go after the street information

I forgot person's name on a line at the top and maybe post code comes after country here too. I don't know. I don't really use "the snail mail"

The reason you'd send your mail to a box at the UPS store is because if you need a non-home mailing address you can ship things there that won't ship to a P.O. Box.
can't you also use "general delivery" if its going to a USPS instead of a PO box then?

Address line 1 is for C/O....
For instance..
Kenneth Finney c/o Painted Perversion 805 Maltby St. Jackson, MI 49201
Other wise, use Address Line 1 for your address, and ignore line 2...

I use address line 2 because I have to ship APO.

I use address line 2 to tell a little joke, to bring some cheer into the postman's day, so it's like
wayne croft 81 zappa road what do you call a man with a spade in his head? doug high wycombe Bucks HP16 3DP

This isn't really related but kaworu's post made me think about how when my brother was a kid and the school would do magazine sales he'd always subscribe to a magazine and tick the box for esq. under title or w/e so we got mail to him with esquire for ages
