Just kidding it'll be released may 3 woohoo! I think it will suck and that the whole sexist premise was only cool when I first played Duke3D

this is still like the best-looking FPS post-2000 that I've seen

as far as like, unified sort of graphical look without being like Gears of War gray/blue-tinted as fuck with character designs that would look silly even as a comic book

I almost mean this

I'm just saying this is ironically like the least tacky-looking FPS ever like every other game you can't tell from those NVIDIA 3d mascots demonstrating how good the games can look/rendered on an nvidia and are usually very sexist in a nerd way but are really indistinguishable from actual modern game aesthetics lol I will spend $1000 on a graphics card so I can get play through Myspace graphics world

paraphrase: Despite the offensive/juvenile subject matter I would say the graphics aesthetic of the game is pretty evolved/mature/not excessive abuse of graphic effects all over the place like everything ever since I dunno around Far Cry time period PIMP MY GRAPHICS

Edit: Dunno if Far Cry is among those games. It has some clear level of realism vs. fantasy level of representation of reality possibly where we were saying about N64 games THAT WAS A LARGE EXPLOSION looking at screenshots of Far Cry I think WHOA THAT'S A LOT OF TREES

Duke Nukem Forever is the only game I'm buying this year... I'll probably spend weeks non stop peeing in urinals, shooting hoops, playing air hocky, throwing poop at soldiers, hitting enemies in the balls, shrinking all kinds of crap, etc.
 
Also, IRRC, the left d-pad button on the 360 controller is used solely for Duke to drink a beer. I don't know about you guys, but I think that's a wonderful gameplay element.
 
EDIT: also I read somewhere you can put a rat in the microwave and.... microwave it! Can't wait to see how PETA reacts to that.

I'm not sure if it'll be a good game but it definitely looks like it's got stuff to appreciate, and at least it attempts to do something stylistically unlike all the red faction/halo/hl2/dod/cod/whatever

I'm actually a very big fan of Duke Nukem and by the looks of it Duke Nukem Forever is going to be true to the classic gameplay formula. I just thought the trailer was sort of bad and anticlimactic is all.

Though the trailer is incredibly pretentious, I wouldn't mind playing this. This excessive atmosphere of sexism and violence is more interesting than recent shooters that laughably take their machismo seriously. I saw a statue of Duke in the trailer, maybe suggesting a "cult of personality" about him, which would be an interesting touch.

Nah it got delayed. fortunetly no one can see how raged i am now. what really kicks me in the balls(of steel) is that a couple weeks ago i preordered that damn balls of bullshit addition WITH release date delivery and i was like "MAY 3rd! MAY 3rd! Everyone has to come over and play Duke Nukem Forever with me on MAY 3RD!" but nope.
 
fyi i'm betting significantly less on duke from now on.

“In every previous BioWare game, I always felt that almost every companion in the game was designed for the male gamer in mind. Every female love interest was always written as a male friend type support character. In Dragon Age 2, I felt like most of the companions were designed to appeal to other groups foremost, Anders and Fenris for gays and Aveline for women given the lack of strong women in games, and that for the straight male gamer, a secondary concern. It makes things very awkward when your male companions keep making passes at you. The fact that a “No Homosexuality” option, which could have been easily implemented, is omitted just proves my point. When I say BioWare neglected The Straight Male Gamer, I don’t mean that they ignored male gamers. The romance options, Isabella and Merrill, were clearly designed for the straight male gamers in mind. Unfortunately, those choices are what one would call “exotic” choices. They appeal to a subset of male gamers and while its true you can’t make a romance option everyone will love, with Isabella and Merrill it seems like they weren’t even going for an option most males will like. And the fact is, they could have. They had the resources to add another romance option, but instead chose to implement a gay romance with Anders.”
