To clarify, I'd like recommendations of blood-pumping music; the tone of your recommendation is optional!
I'd like to diversify my selection of hard-rockin' music, but I don't even know where to start. Right now, I go to Mars Volta (primarily Deloused), Portugal. The Man (Church Mouth, Waiter: You Vultures!), The Prodigy, and Pendulum. What would you listen to if you were working out or running from the police?

second one is literally like I can' t breathe /can't catch up with the rhythm of the song in a way I can't quite describe
and yes I just use his music like an image macro now

Big Black (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeSNdPI9Ggc)
Husker Du's early hardcore stuff (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpMFuNPFuJM)
Bad Brains (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYjqY0Yg1kk)
X-Ray Spex (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogypBUCb7DA)
Lightning Bolt (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wvu3UhXeLg8&feature=related)
miscellaneous (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCwDzyjHEFk) indefensibly (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YNfvl_qhVE) stupid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yByMmcN6kmg) and (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q2jw-RX4xw) trashy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vqqzGdl-_k) punk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuheHq5pTPc&feature=related) shit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eOuPeAfOeE)
feel a lil gross posting these bands since i think they were ~gw canon~ for a while (porcupine tree...) but this is what i still listen to when i want to GET PUMPE and i defy anyone to blast the first bad brains album while drinking strong coffee and not feel like the world just became a lot more manageable.

I've seen you post links to Snares before, and I have to agree it's pretty meltface. What would you recommend as the most accessible album, if any? I'm willing to give this a go!

No shame in any of that! I've actually got a pretty decent classic hardcore collection. I'm looking for something a little more new and innovative, though. I'll check out some more Lightning Bolt for sure. Might I point you to some Mass Movement of the Moth (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hgxDqO3ENE)? I might even check on Dischord Records here soon.

Haha thanks for that, dom. I actually did a little research on UK hip-hop/grime(?) and found some really good songs, but not any one consistently good artist.
btw this song is extremely buck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M8zpBsMoM0

I don't know if this is the most accessible album but it's one of the most consistently good + feels diverse (gasp there's even an ambient/beatless song). The second latest album Filth is kind of good in the sense that the songs feel like they follow some theme/actually almost flows like a normal album would. I find it a lot more lighthearted like IN COMPARISON to some of his stuff which isn't very lighthearted but still. He has an album called Higgins Ultra Low Glue Funk Hits 1985-2006 or something like that, if you've heard Squarepusher before this one I'm pretty sure is meant to lampoon Squarepusher's stuff on every single track. There is one track that sounds like it's supposed to be Go Spastic but 10x harder and faster. Doll Doll Doll seems to be a fan favorite, and Rossz Csillag Szullett (sp?) is the one everyone mentions because it was mentioned in Pitchfork or something (classical music + breakbeats you gotta be kidding me!) but it's kind of not like his usual stuff at all. It's more intense than I remember though but I still don't think it gives a good idea of his general discography. Infolepsy EP is also really good and it's only 5/6 tracks if you are too impatient for a full album
as far as the most inaccessible album maybe Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding (which is probably his take on Autechre's discography)

I'm listening to some more, and I must say I could acquire a taste for this, probably at the expense of totally alienating myself from humanity.

Edit: ahaha his music is a little over the top at times but in general I think the whole breakcore genre is a pretty logical response to IDM-type stuff, which I caught post-2001 which was like the event horizon for the genre (Aphex released Drukqs, Autechre released Confield and various other things) and like the well-known/established acts have become sort of NOSTALGIC/sentimental which is kind of funny because they were always about pushing the envelope and now Autechre is like making entire albums with only FM synths (think old Yamaha keyboards) and breakcore is like distilling it down to just the shock value/theatrical part of IDM, and the newbies that make strictly IDM seem kind of boring/samey to me

"Drop The World" by lil wayne and Eminem
Everytime I hear that song I want to stomp on somethin'
"Seven" by Army of the Pharaohs
"The Wicked Messenger" by The Black Keys
"Where The Devil Don't Stay" by The Drive-By Truckers
"Devour" by Shinedown (if thats your kind of thing, last album was kind of hard rockin'. Not a huge fan of em but I kind of like that one)
I can't post music vids because of the internet here but its easy to look those up. They're all pretty fast and hard and I know the first two are rap but they got rock elements to em'. Can't go wrong with some old Deftones or Queens of the Stone Age though.
I really need to find some newer hard rock because I've completely ignored that part of music for awhile now but most of the stuff they put out is shit.

Yeah, I remember "Drop the World" from when we were getting drunk over the holidays, that was fun. I really do need to get some modern rap exposure because I'm totally out of the loop, save for the 5-6 club songs anyone's heard over the past year. Does Wayne's most recent album have any redeeming qualities?
I forgot about this band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1hr_czn3nw&feature=BF&list=MLGxdCwVVULXf9GK13LGuieBMn1zdizM_B&index=1 A bit relaxed for this thread, but stomping beat and driving vocals.
I'm open to anything, and I'd especially like to find some more bands like Sound of Animals Fighting, Portugal, and Circa Survive, that have a hopping "Prog For Dummies"(?) instrumental sound to it, like all those scenesters moved on from metalcore and overt emo music.
Just not this: http://thisisdrugs.com/music Please God, not that!

*Listens to aanguish * Omfgwtf!
I'm not certain what to recommend- are you looking for invigorating music or tunes that scare the shit out of you?

Yes, I like his newer album and atleast half of "rebirth". I know it got alot of bad criticism but its pretty fun if you take it for what it is. Kanye's new album trumps lil' waynes though and Drake is pretty good but I only like some of his stuff. Check out Lupe Fiasco, he samples modest mouse and Radiohead in some of his songs. He sounds kind of nerdy but I really like him and his lyrics are more intellectually inclined I think.
