Because to me it seems like it's a bunch of resentful communist people who thought things were better before Gorbachev are accusing the party that put Russia back on tracks of fixing the legislative elections. I mean, I'm pretty ignorant about that kind of stuff so can GW tell me what the fuss is all about?

they're all a bunch of buttholes

in soviet russia, russia explains you.

Putin's prettymuch running Russia as a dictator. He had his two terms, then had his puppet lead for a term (who ran all decisions by Putin anyways, making it pretty clear who was actually in charge) and now Putin's going to be back in office, even though it's basically like he never left in the first place. So he'll be in charge for another two terms, then most likely another puppet and then he'll return again. His party has major major links to organised crime, consisting heavily of ex-kgb agents who used their influence to turn to crime after the wall came down. The protestors are pretty damn brave as critics of Putin have a habbit of disapearing, or just outright murdered in very high profile cases.
Western media tends to focus on the middle-east lately and so criticisms of countries like Russia are few and far between even though it is obviously in the shit and as corrupt as many of their regimes. However we're meant to be cosey cosey to Russia since they became glorious wonderful capitalists, pumping all their oil money into the british economy, so criticisms of Putin are generally left to random commentators or the odd journalist who actually has a backbone. But they tend to get widely ignored by the general public at large who'd much rather read about muslims killing each other, or whether princess dianah was murdered by a ninja hired by prince phillip through a orangutan patsy.

dunno what you're talking about specifically, but generally speaking after the collapse of the soviet union neoliberalism destroyed russia and eastern europe (it was already in a sorry state but now the area is a complete joke). pretty simple, really.
I play this game now where I pick a country I don't know very much about and then I see if (when) they have been fucked over by a free-market-esque structural adjustment. I'm better at it than I am at Battleships. I guess this means that I am pretty geographically ignorant but it's helping to fix that.

due to use of aggressively stupid 4chan memes i am now a full supporter of president putin and his completely legitimate government.
Yeah I was about to post that the use of ragecomics sort of undercuts the argument. Because they are almost exclusively used for VERY DUMB THINGS.
But basically do some reading up from reputable sources, here's a good place to start:
