The working of these scanners is simple. The thermal imagers attached to these scanners help determine the temperature of the body passing through it based on the amount of infrared radiation emitted. It works on the basis of a simple rule, which is: ‘The higher the temperature, the higher the infrared radiation emission'. Using this principle, passengers with unusually high temperatures can be easily identified and escorted for further testing.

Theres this really big old black dude I work with named "roscoe" he's nearly seven feet tall and around 300lbs. He got stopped in vietnam and their TSA took his pornography away (its illegal) and he pitched a fit about it.
