Title: GW Merchandise

If there's a market for it, I'm considering looking into getting some shirts printed. But ONLY if there's enough of a market that I expect they would actually sell. Otherwise I'm not going to bother researching.

The shirts would likely just have some favourite slogans like "are you resistins me" or "GW IS DIEING". They wouldn't neccessarily have any website on them so you wouldn't have to feel like a tool for wearing a shirt with WWW.GAMINGW.NET #1 SOURCE FOR THE INDIE GAMIN SCENE.

If you vote for the second yes or the second no choice, please specify what you'd want to see.

Also, while on the subject, I would NOT pay more than $15 for a T-shirt. Something like $12, if you can produce it at that cost and make money off of it, makes sense.

I do not know about exactly how mass t-shirt producing works but I am kind of assuming just one shirt type being made at a time, with one phrase. So if this is the case people should realize that they may not end up with the exact phrase they want and should still buy them.

I think that instead of putting gamingw.net anywhere on it Foget should be the identifier.

It's just the same thing except it's a community you take part in and by buying this stuff you are supporting it.

Extremely in-joke phrases aren't really that meaningful to have on a shirt. I'd rather have something that others can see is funny, but GW'ers are familiar with. Like Foget.

(like ambientbird I'd want a fitted one)


I imagine such a print would be pretty expensive though...


EDIT: Another forum I frequent did several prints with their pretty unique smileys (they are great, btw). Perhaps a  :soap: or  :ninja: (man ninjas are sooo cool) print is in order.

Not worse then the shirt they gave at the graduation students in the private school next to my college. The name of the school is "Academy Antoine-Manseau" and the shirt was saying " I AAM DONE". Quite shit.

Whatever you do don't go with CafePress or any of those cheap ass places to make the shirts.  If you want them done you should get them professionally screenprinted.  I don't know how much it costs but I can't imagine it being very expensive.

Also, making money on this is going to be very difficult because the cost of shipping and handling will make prices go way up, especially for people who don't live in Canada (I will assume the shirts will be shipped from Rowain's home).

Unless there was a way to submit a design to some non-shitty online company with branches on different continents and different countries.

You should set up a GW shop on http://www.cafepress.com . I would totally buy a shirt or two. That would help with lowering shipping prices and such (I think). :D

way to not read the other replies to this topic.

OK, I just checked out www.customink.com and I tried out the pricing possibilities. I had no idea that there was such a difference in price between 4 colors and 1 color, for example.

If we order 10 Champion Tagless T's with a design with 1 color on the front and 1 on the back, the price is $15.84 per shirt, shipping INCLUDED to the US (and Canada, I believe).
20 shirts would cost $10.97 each (again, same shipping situation)

If the shirt had only one color on one side and nothing on the back, it would be $13.35 each for 10 shirts and $9.01 each for 20 shirts

BTW this is all for a Denim blue color shirt. White is obviously cheaper, and there are many other colors available for these same prices

Cafepress is pretty much the equivalent of buying one of those iron on shirt kits and using it on a shirt. If you have never used one, that I will tell you they look terrible and are overpriced.

Yeah, I would. The majority of the reason would be to support the site. GW mousepad would be actually pretty handy for me. I dunno about the shirts though. If there was a shirt with just Medieve's Lego character design without any text I would.

I don't really know how much this would support the site. Might turn a small profit but it's going to be hard finding to get quality prints while minimizing the cost. I think this would be largely about breaking even and everyone have a rad shirt to wear.

I'd pay up to $20 for a shirt that awesome, but there's something mystical about $20 that sounds $10 more than $15. So yeah, I'd guess $15 is the benchmark for a lot of people. Maybe you should have a seperate poll, Rowain?

I would totally wear a red Che-Foget shirt like that but I am not so sure about the text. I'd wear COOL SHIRTS and I'd definitely wear Targ shirts or a shirt full of Y2 quotes "the subtance of PHOENIX is unsable" or whatever but I am NOT IN THE MARKET for LEGION SAGA shirts!

Okay, the red Che/Foget shirt RULES. But, I don't like either font for the text. And, I think it would be better if the text were on the back of the shirt. But, yeah, I would probably buy that shirt (as long as it were red and blue like in the picture, and not any other colours). Also, I would not spend more than $20 (preferably less).

Also: I suddenly realized that in the full picture, foget is pointing to his penis. I can't decide if that is indescribably awesome or sickeningly awesome. Nice on a shirt though.

I've had experience with Zazzle, and they are wonderful. Nice quality shirts. But, then again, I only bought ONE shirt, so I'm not sure how good they'd be for large quantities... And a bit pricey.

Anyway, I guess I'll make this my side project. There's a few printing shops around here but no idea if they make tshirts or anything.
