WELCOME to the GW Musicians album list
a topic by Adeline

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFO

DO YOU WANT SOME ALBUMS? GW's musicians and their bands have released many of their own this year, so this topic will link to all of them. It works in much the same way as GW's blog list in the General forum. Note that some albums and EPs may no longer uploaded--but this still gives everyone a guide to all our fantastic releases. It collects both full-length albums and EPs.

First:

a note to the musicians
-If I've made a mistake in the album or artist name in this topic, post as well and I'll oblige.
-If you wish to have the link to your release removed, likewise. No questions asked. However, the topic will still remain in GW. You may want to edit the download link out of it as well.
-This topic is for albums and EPs, not for individual songs. Post them in the composition topic. (If you have one-song albums or EPs, they CAN go here.)
-If you'd like, I can write the music genre next to the release. Just let me know what you'd have there.
-Albums and EPs by your band (as opposed to you solo) are fine.

a note to the would-be downloaders
-Please limit discussion of the releases to each release's topic. HOWEVER,
-if the topic is old, TOO BAD BUCKO. We don't like necroposting, so check the date of the topic's creation before you go criticising or complimenting.
-Some of the download links in the release topics may no longer be valid. The files may have been removed, or in the case of YouSendIt and all that, it may have expired. If you want the album so badly, you'll probably have to contact the artist. Whether they decide to re-upload is up to them entirely. Or those with Zoo access could get someone else (who downloaded when it came out) to get them a copy, so the artist doesn't have to do it again.

Surprisingly I do actually have a lot of respect for your music, I really liked Beach Arab and your original Lonely Hearts submission. But as with most bands there are also songs that I am not too keen on, for instance the one which was completely irregularly off beat. This is not a dig at your music though as I know full well it was your intention for it to be off beat, it was just not my particular taste in music AS YOU WELL KNOW I LIKE ELECTRO-BEATs.

well it comes intrinsically to me, wierd time signatures.
Thought 2: Silent Amender has a 3 bars of 3/4, one bar of 2/4 before going 4/4. I didn't pull that off by thinking, it first came from playing and improvising and then I realize what I did.
Bye Pluto, also from At Ease, has a 7/8 time signature which variates with a 4/4.
The bassline of Beach Arab tweaks Up the Beach's 4/4 and uses something like a 9/8 time signature I think, I don't remember.

That would be cool, but there's not much we can do.

I figure that it's more of a listing of the albums and releases. It lets people know what has been done. Plus, it is the artist's choice whether they want to have people downloading after the link expires. People can request re-uploads of course, via PM or whatever (maybe thru this topic). But there's not much GW can do since that'd mean a lot of space devoted to all these things.

Hello. The other day I created myself a myspace page because I wanted more people to have the chance of hearing Bean Soup. So that's at www.myspace.com/untitledhead if anyone who's interested wants to know what the album sounds like there are 2 songs from it on there. There is also a song from the first album called Mixtape Happening which is really shitty. One final thing, there is a brand new song from an EP that is very very nearly finished and should be available in a week and a half or so.
