I listened to "Gulp To The Whole Of Life" solely because the title of the album seemed interesting and it was pretty good with some nice sample choices / interesting use of channels.

I love going down internet rabbit holes. :waycool:
I haven't played this game in years but had a dream about it so now it's on my mind
I'd like to do some more GW Radio but I'm kinda bored of playing the same old mix of songs.
schools make for good mazes. Maybe that's why I dream I'm back at school so much
I also dream I'm at the library but it's like a combination of my local library and the one at college, as it has a lot of partitions/desks where you can work on your laptop. I don't really work on my laptop outside of the house anymore though, I'm too worried about damaging it and if I were to work on music it'd turn out a lot more than if I use the nice speakers at home

i also use my laptop as my at-home pc too, don't really like lugging it around. maybe I'll try to get a more lightweight computer later down the line for cheap.
Thinking 'bout you...
Life's a rollercoaster, Currently on the down trying climb that next hill.
Keeping sober off hard drugs 2 years come Halloween, and a year Sober off Booze since last NYE.
Keeping busy with work contracts, and solo dev learning blender and Unity as I hobble about making a Monster Rancher Spiritual successor
https://mahorka.bandcamp.com/musichaving half of the internet archive down is rough. RPGMaker.net was hosting games there since the site went down, and now they can't access them from their either.
some decent stuff here. They're also on archive.org but that's down I think

No one should give a shit but I need to vent about petty game RNG: I have catalogued 159 books in this game, Book of Hours, for my library and not one book I've rolled has Knock as the principle, out of 13 possible principles...!
Context:
You get to read a bunch of books in a library to learn occult skills, but you also are the librarian so you order and organize books. Books are random every time you find a little package.
I've somehow failed to find books pertaining to an entire occult school.
coming out with a new album soon-ish. Making one track a day on my days off, from composition to mastering. I'm also past my quota of song titles, I have like 9 for an album after this, including another Korean word from this book that I'm readingi've listened to conical burr grinder and it's good stuff.
uploading mastered versions here in advance

one of my parents passed away today.
if it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't have liked video games.
Earliest memory was watching him torment himself playing Zelda II.
I remember spending weekend evenings when they were off of work playing that game nonstop.
And he would bring a random big box dos game home every now and then when we first had our Packard Bell family PC.
Anyways, he is indirectly responsible for me finding out about this website because he made me interested enough in computers and the internet to learn everything I could about them.
The last game we were able to play together was Fallout 76. It was a horrible shitty mess of a game. But my sibling and my parent had a good time playing through a bit of it. We never got around to finishing it because it became too shitty to tolerate. They also loved Civilization and would often borrow my Switch to play Civ 6 on it.
I guess moral of the story is people dying really sucks.

I'm sorry to here that man. It never gets easy. But while it may be easy to get lost grieving that they're gone, we musn't let that take away from celebrating that they were here.

I am thankful that I was able to move near them and spend the last few months around them. Nice to have a little bit more time.

New job is going good, should have a new house pretty soon here. And baby #3 is on the way soon too.New job, new house, new baby, I'm looking forward to seeing your GW/game dev work in no less than 10 years from now. :domo:
And then maybe I'll have some time to work on GamingW / Gamedev some more.

this is a pretty decent RPG demo, nothing special but nice graphic style and gets the job done while it lasts
suffers a little bit from extra party member bloat near the end, though. I didn't even try out the monk guy
Edit: oh yeah, the sword on the roof is such an oldschool rpg thing to do, literally makes no sense in real life but cool in the context of a game

i dig the style of it, will have to give it a try eventually.
i've been gaming mostly on my steam deck these days and kind of wish that I bought one sooner because it's a super convenient little device.
if you had to choose one way to listen to music, which format would you pick? (tape, streaming, cd, MP3, etc.)
i'm thinking about getting into collecting music but cannot decide which media format is worth it.
Streaming is obviously the most convenient one, but I would like to actually own music. And I feel that MP3 is kind of cheating even if they don't have DRM locking them down.
I like that tapes are portable, but I can't remember if the sound quality is poor because it's been so long since I've listened to a tape.
CDs are nice but they are a pain to lug around if you're walking somewhere and from what I remember they tend to skip when listening on a portable player.
vinyl seems fun but not really portable.
maybe I should just get an mp3 player.

yeah unfortunately the game kind of doesn't end but there are unfinished parts as the game goes on, so you don't really know when to stop playing. But basically until you get the ship that can sail over deep water, the game is intact.
It's a little annoying though how some areas have virtually no enemies that drop gold, while others practically all the enemies do, like in the pyramid. Basically any humanoid enemy that you can imagine carrying gold, does, while the more animal-like enemies don't, just give you experience
i wonder if I can find a decent mp3 player that supports FLAC.I'm still on Winamp after all these years.
