I just saw Superbad and I just want everyone to know it's the funniest movie I've ever seen!
Seriously, I can think of no other movie that I've seen recently in theaters and wouldn't mind sitting through again... RIGHT AFTER I just saw it. GO SEE IT!
-
er wrong FOUR um.
yeah im going to go see it soon
-
I saw Superbad last night and it is astounding. The Apatow Company really knows the light touch.
er wrong FOUR um.
is this a retort
-
no its a reasoning to laserface
-
I saw it a few nights ago and it was a lot better and funnier than I expected. Although I think Seth cursed too much, to the point that it got annoying
-
I was going to see but...
I didn't
-
I found this movie to be pretty enjoyable. It was funny... not much more to say. Although I can say at first I was getting pissed that they weren't getting to the party, cause of all the detours atleast until I realized the party would be like the climax of the movie. The part with the penis drawings was awesome, especially in the principals office when they showed all of the different creative ones.
-
I went to see it a while back.
I enjoyed it, and it was pretty funny I guess.
Although I can't say it was the funniest movie ever imo.
By the end it was kind of an on and off.
Oh and McLovin! hah.
-
pretty funny movie. i was eating a taco during the dick part n ended up choking. ;p
also mclovin reminds me of a kid at school who looks exactly like him. come to think of it, i would like to change my username to mc_lovin' (with the apostrophe if possible).
-
This movie is a lot better than the ads make it out to be. Then again, they couldn't show most of the lines in a TV commercial.
-
I just looked this up on imdb and it seems this is a stupid teen gross-out comedy??? I guess the title is pretty apt GOD im funny
-
nah guys this is going to be a good film. it's got michael cera, was written by seth rogen (and someone else i can't remember). these guys aren't geniuses, but they know how to be really, really funny.
especially with comedies, you can never tell the quality of the film from a trailer. they just fire in the broadest humour to get the idiot majority (you don't know who you are) to think "hahahaiahai funny shit!" and go pay up pay up.
if you've seen knocked up, or the forty year old virgin, you'll probably already know this is going to be a funny film. i like these guys.

Great movie and totally better then what i expected, didnt think it was gonna be as funny as it was.
-
I didn't like it that much when I saw it opening day, but then I was thinking about it and quoting lines and such and I realized that it was pretty awesome. 7/10
Also, I saw this movie for GEORGE MICHAEL. And I would agree that Seth cursed too much. It lost it's effectiveness.
-
Hilarious. But a bit graphic and too much cussin for me.

Strange thing to say for someone who's got a Big Bird giving the finger in his avatar.
It's a movie I'd like to see but I just don't have the time. Maybe on DVD...

Hahaha I just saw this and loved every minute of it. I've not been so entertained with a movie... well... ever. I love the other movies in what I almost feel like calling a 'series' because they're all so similar, but yeah.
Sadly, Evan reminded me of myself and Seth of my best friend in most ways (except we are not complete losers???) It kind of made me sad to see it.
Fucking great movie though. I love 'whisper' comedy, which is what a lot of this was. I made that term up but it's exactly as it sounds. When the person talking starts to whisper to themselves, such as the scene toward the end when they're in clothing store and Seth is trying on the pants. It's also used by Jim in The Office a lot.

Saw this for my birthday with some friends and I think just about everyone enjoyed it. Alot of the theatre was laughing, especially during the "dicks" part and the police officer scenes. I found Seth a bit annoying, though, and yeah, I agree he cursed a bit too much. I don't know anyone IRL who curses THAT much actually.
Anyhow, moving aside from that - my favourite characters would have to be Seth Rogen and Bill Hades as Officers Slater and Michaels. They were huge assholes but their chemistry was awesome, especially with the dude who played McLovin (couldn't remember his real name). Speaking of McLovin, I think he did a pretty good job also (also for some reason, he reminded me of Psyburn).
So, yeah, it's pretty much difficult to find a vulgar comedy that is hilarious nowadays. I'd say this is definitely a movie that knows its crowd.

yeah as soon as i seen the mclovin guy i was like woah a white psyburn.

Aye, I'm quite a fan of Judd Apatow. I didn't think the 40 Year Old Virgin was that great, but Knocked Up was very good, despite having hamfisted sentimental parts. His tour de force however was the TV series Freaks and Geeks. That was a brilliant piece of television and it's a damn shame it was cancelled after 18 episodes. I thought it was nice that the majority of the cast of Freaks and Geeks found their way into Knocked Up (Seth Rogan included). In both Freaks and Geeks and Knocked Up, Martin Starr is BRILLIANT. I may or may not see Superbad. I don't yet know.

i saw this today, and it was very funny like i expected. michael cera is just so appealling, and by the end of the film i didn't hate jonah hill. i cannot be bothered writing any more about it right now it seems.
-
These Apatow/Rogen films are really disappointing me, especially since Freaks and Geeks is one of my favourite TV shows.
-
Thanks for providing us with information on the film, some screens, an imdb link and shit Dreaven. Real top quality topic going on here. I mean you pretty much gave us a ONE LINER well done.
But I do want to post about how awesome superbad was so...

everyone i know swears that much
maybe it is a regional thing
the departed... fucking cunts.... cocksucker....

Man, I'm going to see this just because of George Michael.
EDIT: holy shit, jojoface, haha
-
I think I'm probably the only person who didn't like this movie.
Looked awesome before it came out, I love Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen, I'm a huge fan of Freaks and Geeks, but I hated Knocked Up, and I didn't think Superbad was as funny as everyone thought it was.
The whole theatre was cracking up at things I didn't even know were supposed to be funny.
Oh well, the penis thing was funny, though it was completely abstract compared to the tone of the rest of the movie.
-
I saw this twice, simply because it was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen in theatre, right after South Park and Team America.
