It's apparently based on an old 1950's book of the same name, and I personally think this film looks pretty fantastic. Something about the apocalypse is always appeals to me.

Indpendance Day meets War of the Worlds meets Twelve Monkeys.
Now I keep meaning to head over to the IMAX Cinema down in London and watch an awesome movie, but I have just been waiting for the perfect movie to come out. Something with explosions and lots of COOL STUFF, and then I forget that I want to go to IMAX and then I remember and then I forget again.
I think this just might be the IMAX movie for me. Imax BTW (http://www.bfi.org.uk/whatson/imax/about/) So I just really hope it plays in the IMAX cinema. They seem pretty selective about what they play.
What do you guys think?
If it wasn't for the book, I'd say this was a complete ripoff of 28 Days Later, especially the deserted city scenes. I really hate Will Smith, though. I'm already cringing at the thought of his retarded one-liners and cocky attitude.
I can understand the reasons you think that, (Fresh Prince anyone?) But I really think Will has improved as an actor over the years. I think as an actor he is actually pretty good, Independance Day, The Persuit of Happyness, I Robot. They are all pretty good films where he gives a pretty good performance. I'm not really trying to convince you to like him here but just don't judge the whole film on the basis that you dislike a certain actor.man
I never liked Leo DeCaprio after watching Titanic but he blew me away in The Departed and The Beach and I think he is pretty Stellar now.
Is that Kronos Quartet? I can't really tell.
Epic.
It's pretty much a remake of The Omega Man.Actually yeah, exactly. The Omega Man was based off of the same book.
This movie looks amazing. I can't believe how much weight it looks like he lost to play the role.he's always been a pretty thin guy, man. he doesn't look, to me at least, to be any thinner than he was in pursuit of happyness or i, robot or whatever movies he's done fairly recently.
I'm pretty sure it's exclusive to the movie in most theaters, like Cloverfield with Transformers.
By the by, the Dark Knight exclusive is worth the ticket alone.
Yeah that preview was there when I saw it. (I don't really like Batman so I'm pretty cynical about the whole thing though. I kind of thought it looked dumb)

That was the best 6$ i ever spent.
2 minute trailer of the Dark Knight and a free showing of I am Legend.
I saw it on Saturday and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I felt that the ending was pretty cliched, with the whole "GAH GET 2 TEH FORTIFIED TOWN!!11" and the characters could have been more fleshed out (and have an explanation of where his Wife/kids went!) The part where Sam(the dog) dies was so sad, how Will Smith's character had to throttle her to death and he was all teary-eyed and such. :(

Yeah, I don't know how you missed the whole helicopter crash scene. I don't know if the ending was necessarily cliche, but I do think it was somewhat rushed.
Cheesy Doritos, I completely agree with you and DeltaHybrid about those two scenes. Probably my favorite scenes, in addition to the one where he goes to the video store after Sam dies and keeps asking that mannequin to talk back to him.
A few questions for those of you who have seen it. Question one: That one boss mutant guy set up the trap for him with the mannequin, right? How did he manage to do that if the mutants were supposed to be unintelligent? Also, how did he know that Neville talked to that mannequin if he was always inside during the day?
Question two: At the end of the movie as the mutants are breaking through the glass, Neville looks at the woman's neck and sees the butterfly. The voice he heard was his daughter's, right? I think it said something along the lines of, "daddy, look at the butterfly" (correct me if I'm wrong), but what exactly did that mean? How are the woman's tattoo and the daughter's quote linked?
The preview didn't do the movie justice. It was short and bland so if it's any indication of how the movie's gonna be...well, I just hope it isn't. Also, Heath Ledger looks like a good Joker in pictures, but seeing him in the preview was kind of disappointing. Is it just me or did he not look like this?I'm sorry man, but that was revealed as a fake a LONG LONG time ago.Hidden content (Click to reveal)(http://www.gamingw.net/pubaccess/50675/Joker.jpg)
Seems to me like they decided to change his appearance in the movie.
Actually yeah, exactly. The Omega Man was based off of the same book. Finally someone else knows !
I dont care what you say, I like Will, he is a great actor since indpendance day, sure holes like hitch, and Wild wild west sucked ass but look at I.D , I-Robot and Pursuit of happyness along with this?there's something wrong with you if you consider i, robot a film even worth mentioning
he's always been a pretty thin guy, man. he doesn't look, to me at least, to be any thinner than he was in pursuit of happyness or i, robot or whatever movies he's done fairly recently.? Will's like super buff. Hasn't he been for a while now?
I was wondering why that one guy seemed to have a hard-on for killing Will.
From what I understand, it's because he captured that female, whom the guy had a thing for I guess. That's what I've been told anyways. I don't really know if it's accurate. I think part of the reason is the fact that Neville is also one of the last remaining humans, and since they're drawn to human blood (remember how he sprayed that stuff outside of his house before walking in to get rid of his scent?), they come after him. That guy just happened to be the "alpha dog."He was responding to my comment up at the top, that last bit was just poorly phrased but he was saying BEFORE he read Pasty and my posts he was wondering that. You have the gist of what it was but you're way off on that last bit considering Neville managed to survive for 3 years without any real threat. It was quite obvious as the movie went along that if the darkseekers really wanted his human blood they could've taken it long ago. Neville just pissed off the wrong dude (read my post up near the top for my reasoning of this opinion)

Is it just me or did he not look like this?completely of topic, but that picture is a fake and has NOTHING to do with the film. It is an enchanted image of the person that the original joker (as in the first joker ever that appear in comic book form) was based on. so yeah gj the internet fooled u 8)Hidden content (Click to reveal)(http://www.gamingw.net/pubaccess/50675/Joker.jpg)
