So, the first episode of the final season of Scrubs aired last night, right after The Office on NBC. And... YES.
No more Keith and Elliott! What an awful couple. They handled everything pretty well I think! And a funny episode. Almost better than the entire Sixth Season.
I'm pretty excited about this season. Should be great. :D I just hope this freaking writers strike doesn't interfere with my Scrubs or The Office. I will go on a killing spree.
-
Yeah. The rest of this season should be amazing and I'm excited to see how it ends.
Speaking of excited, I'm waiting for a huge box set of the entire series. How awesome is that going to be?
-
"C'mon guys, we have to hurry up and find out what's wrong with Joe!"
ahahhaha I loved that. overall a pretty good episode, not fantastic imo, but pretty good.
-
Yeah, Turk's smile/tilting his head was PRICELESS. Amazing. :D
-
IF JD AND ELLIOTT DONT GET MARRIED IM GOING TO BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAD
-
Stopped watching it years ago. Is the whole show still structured around the Ross and Rachel "on/off" relationship? Shit! I mean JD and Eliot. Dunno how I could've got those mixed up, they have NOTHING in common!
-
As a fan of Cox, I resent that.

They ended that whole storyline in season three, though they sort of brushed up against it again at the beginning of season seven, more as a way of dealing with the current storylines than to actually start up that story again. It's never been structured around that relationship, though, so I don't know when you were watching.
And actually, the show has done a pretty good job of showing how much they do have in common. In season three they even go through a bunch of reasons that she's perfect "on paper" for him even though he doesn't love her. So again, I don't know when you were watching.

Pretty good episode, hoping the rest of the season is as good or better.
-
The show needs more Todd.
Overall, I was satisfied with the premiere and I expect good things to come out of this season.

haha you like cocks :gwa:

Elliott: You don't like Cox?
Jordan: No, I LOVE Cox!
Todd(walking by): Best conversation, ever.
Jordan: That's the problem.

Oh man, Australia is mega slow and my computer has been dead so I can't wait to grab this episode.
Another one of my favourite shows ending =(. It's had a good run though.
-
they should've just stopped the show at around season four. maaaaaybe season five. like, remember when shit was not insanely over the top, and when jd did not constantly fluctuate between mellow_coolguy like he typically is in whatever movies zach braff does and a really flamboyant, effeminate manwoman? i like going back to season 1 and 2 and watching the tame-by-comparison flashbacks and tangents, and seeing how he is a NORMAL INTERN without any not-quite-gay arrangement between he and turk.
but the first episode of seven was alright. i do not like keith either, but i don't think anyone did.
-
I too liked the earlier seasons better; namely three and four. Dr. Cox is my favorite character, and I hated the Ross/Rachel - JD/Elliot thing, so... I actually missed some of season 5 and 6 so i'm not caught up completely, but those were the good old days. It was pretty good, but I hate the whole baby thing.
-
I didn't like the second episode particularly, it was kind of dull and odd. First was better.
-
Yeah, agreed on that. But it forwarded the story. A few pretty hilarious moments.
Also, Season 1 is the greatest Season, and Season 6 was the worst. okk
-
Somehow I missed this thread! I was really disappointed with the first two episodes and was afraid it would really go down hill, but this weeks episode was terrific and hilarious
-
The third? I thought the series has gone downhill since the first episode, actually. :( I mean, there were a few great parts in this episode, but I wasn't really that impressed. Maybe I'm expecting too much.
-
Yeah, I'm extremely disappointed by this season. Sadly, it really sucks at the moment. It's just not what it used to be anymore. I no longer find myself laughing... at all.
-
Yeah, I agree with Mateui... It's really sucking right now. The first episode was remotely good, the second two have been horrible! I miss moments like "As I gangsta leaned down the hallway in my new wheels that I found near the dumpster..." and such. :(
-
Actually, i'm kinda happy that this is the last season. I've got Seasons 1-4 on dvd and I love 'em, but I barely watched seasons 5 and 6 but when I did, I felt they were lacking what I loved about the show in the first place. Cox was my favorite, but he's getting a little stale with his long winded sarcastic remarks and know-it-all attitude which I remember were better parts of his character once, as opposed to just being used as humor. In my opinion, anyway.
-
I enjoyed the episode. Nothing amazing, but it was good.
Turk with the basketball head was hilarious.

That was honestly probably the only good part in the whole episode. This season is sucking badly.

guys just stop watching this fucking awful show. even if you like it, even if you think it's not awful. i'm not disputing at times some of the earlier seasons made me laugh out loud, but it was always an awful, stupid, mindless, ugly show! baws this show.
on the other hand it's over at the end of this year anyway and a drop in viewership would be attributed to viewer fatigue and a drop in quality due to exhaustion of storylines/jokes instead of the fact it's always been terrible at it's core so who cares go ahead if you really want to
but you shouldn't want to.

dude i don't think you understand the subtleties of the jokes on this show
for example remember how jd calls turk brown bear (hint: jd and turk are gay)
or the time jd and turk share a bed (hint jd and turk are gay)
or how jd and turk are always caught in hilarious homoerotic situations (hint they are gay)
-
I sometimes wonder why people try to convince other people of issues that come squarely down to taste. Like I mean fine, if you're a fan of something and want to debate the particulars of certain decisions in the storytelling, that's cool. But coming into a topic more or less made for people who like (or at one time did like) Scrubs and tell them that it is and always was an awful show....I don't think there's any better example of trolling than that.
But anyway, I haven't really seen the season sucking as much as everyone else seems to....but part of that's because I'm used to the limitations of the viewing format. Scrubs is a show that benefits a lot from watching it on DVD so you can do a few episodes at a time, because it has weak episodes here and there, but they tend to work out quite well when viewed in the context of other episodes in the season. It's that whole arc-based storytelling thing, I guess. So I haven't so much seen this as a sucky season as it has been a run of a few sub-par episodes.
Still, a sub-par episode of Scrubs is better than an above-par episode of just about anything else on TV these days. So no worries.
-
what's the big deal with Turk and JD's near-gay relationship anyway? I mean it's not that funny but you people seem to think it's the sole reason the show isn't as good as it was
hate faggots?
-
They aren't gay, they are just very childish, and children don't really have boundaries when it comes to stuff like that.
