Title: Two car accidents in one week..
Post by: ~MemmoX~ on October 27, 2007, 04:23:12 am
Here is how it went.
My litle brother drove my car. Stopped at the traffic lights
and 10 seconds later he and 3 friends heard a car slipping.
they looked back and right at the moment BAM! A car, right
into the back of my car!

Result? See for yourself:

Well, there you have it.
The dude who smashed into my car, stepped out and ran to my brother
and said: "FUCKING ASSHOLE WHY DID YOU STOP! IDIOT! FUCK FUCK!!"
etc etc.
My lil bro stepped out too and he wanted to beat him up along with his
3 other friends but called me first, and I heard them argueing so went
there very quick. 'Twas a huge dude. Anyhow, we called the cops
and the damage is around €6000,- (almost $7000,-)

Anyhow, here who hits from behind is always wrong.
So, my car will get repaired.

Thats not all, earlyer this week, my bro smashed his BMW into a tree
when he slipped in a turn.
Also some pictures..:

Yeah, this one is total loss. It's fucked up, we just had the car a week.

Sorry, dunno how to get the pics in those spoiler things.

Wow, good luck with your insurance company and your new monthly charge.

I suggest you don't let your brother drive for awhile.

P,S: To put your image in tags just put the image between hide  and /hide (with the square brackets). Make sure you include the whole img and /img in between though.

[hide ] and then [/hide ] (without that space there). Maybe your brother should, like, take a break from driving or something. That's pretty ridiculous about the BMW, but that can be repaired if the engine block isn't damaged. Hopefully your bro's alright from that second one, looks pretty serious.

Wait was your borther drunk when he smashed his car into a tree? Or was it ice? How old is he?  If he is under 21, he should not be driving a BMW in the first place.

That's pretty nasty, man.
I take it you've learned from this and not let your little brother drive anymore, let him get his own car.

Wow I'm glad I don't drive. If I did I'd end up breaking a car like that and I wouldn't be able to pay and my parents and relatives would have to pay it instead, I don't know why they insist so much on me learning to drive a car.

Thats too bad man. A bmw, too. Man, down here where I live the drivers are terrible. Specially when it rains. Its like rain is the stupid button for people down here. I mean, I dont drive, but I can tell how horrible these people are. Gosh.
But good luck with the cars and whatnot.

In both accounts, you say the drivers slipped.  Why is it so fucking slippery?  Do you live in a town where the streets are paved in slip'n'slide?

The first one sucks. Some people don't know how to STOP AT A RED LIGHT. And it's always nice when the accident is 100% the other party's fault (although it's even nicer to not get into an accident in the first place). The other car had to be tailgating, though; it's pretty difficult to crash into the car in front of you otherwise as long as you've mastered the age old art of slamming on the brakes and hearing your tires screech.

The second accident sounds like a curving skid, which mainly happens when you're dumb enough to be pressing on the gas while turning a curve (and I know this by experience, although fortunately when it happened to me like two years ago all I lost was two tires on a curb). Sucks that your brother had the car only a week, though.

Ice maybe?

It's already snowed where I live (but didn't stay).  Snow will probably snow and stay within two weeks, though.

So he can afford a BMW but not snow tires?

Judging on those photographs, there is no ice.

I can't see photographs while at work.  GW pubaccess, as well as imageshack type sites are blocked.

You wouldn't believe how boring GW is without avatars and colorful sigs.

1. Nice rims.
2. The dude who rammed your brother is such an idiot. A pretty good example of people who I hate, doing something wrong yourself and then try to unlease your anger over some one else.
3. Why would your brother want to beat up a guy who he wants money from. Believe me, the Netherlands is the country of diplomatcy (helped me this weekend).
4. And last but not least. Why the fuck does that cost 6000 euro to repear. I only see some boy damage, approx 1500 euro. Or is the cassis damaged too?

Jesus. That's some luck you've got there. Maybe I should stay on the other side of the Internet...

Anyway, here's hoping that insurance doesn't ream you too badly, though that is their way. Quite interesting (for me... I'm sure that you have other, more colorful words to describe it ha) that the Golf is so expensive to repair. The BMW though? Wow. That's fucked. And obviously very unfortunate. I take it that your brother is fine though?

Yeah, I was pretty much thinking the same thing too. My car had crashed into a tree, the damages were a lot worse than that to the front end and it's cost me around £1250 to repair. Unless your paying for any chasis damage, then the price should be much lower. Personally the only external damage I can see is the bumper that would need to be replaced and the back tail light, judging by those pictures the dents from the boot can be removed and any above the wheel arches, then it just needs a good respray.

Hey guys, thanks for the posts. I was gone for sometime on vacation..
Anyhow, kinda goodnews for me.
The insurance and the expert looked at my car and ats daily price.

Guess what? 7200 frikking Euros! I'm getting the money this week.
Add some more to it and buy me a new car.

@Post, my brother is 18 and just got his license to drive. And no alcohol was involved.

@Dapper Swindler, that day it rained a little bit and the roads where slippery.

@Trujin, Yeah, if you look at the pictures, you can see right above the wheel that
its fucked too. And yeah, the cassis is fucked.

@Others, thanks guys.

Well, I hoped in selling my car for €5000, now instead of that, I get €7200!
AND last but not least, I get to keep my wheels and subwoofer, cd/mp3 player etc etc.

So this actually is good.

The BMW is still in our garage. My dads friend moved to another car repair garage, so when he's
done, he's going to work on the car slow by slow. (for a very low price)

We're picking my lil bros new car up this weekend(IMO, he shouldnt drive for a while)

Now all I need to do is wait and find a cool new car.

Ugh, I am going to be so paranoid next week. I have to do a 30-minute drive to school 6/7 days of the week, so I hope that I won't get into an accident (although it'll probably happen someday).
