I know there are a few other X Japan fans here so I thought I'd post this.
Rumors have been flying around about a possible X Japan reunion for awhile now and as of last monday (October 22), the band is officially back together. They played a concert on top of a building apparently to celebrate the occasion. They are scheduled to play a new years eve gig, have a new song (tentatively titled "I.V.") coming out soon, and things are looking good for the future!
I'm personally super excited about this, as X japan has become one of my favorite bands in the last little while. I'm curious to hear what the other fans have to say about the reunion!

:DDDDDDDDDDDD
Edit: Wait. Hide is still dead. No. :\

Well, I know the band won't be quite the same without hide, but yoshiki is the one who writes most of the music, so I'm thinking they'll still be good.
-
Yeah I'm not super major fan but they are great. Good news to hear especially that they are coming out with new stuff.

Hey, cool stuff =D
I've recently been listening to loads of X Japan, so this is grand news. ^_^

I heard about this in Yoshiki's blog quite some time ago already.
I fucking love this band, since many years!! I seriously live by their songs.
I'm going to Japan just for them. :woop:
Also X-fans, check out Yoshiki's other project S.K.I.N!!

A video from the video shoot for the new song. Not great quality, but at least you can hear the song. I admit I didn't like it at first (the intro in particular), but as the song went on, and I listened to it a few more times, it really grew on me.

Yeah this is cool, I was so psyched when I first heard about it!
What's particularly cool is that their new song I.V is in the film Saw IV in the credits scene. So everyone who likes X Japan has to go and see Saw IV to hear the awesomeness! :fogetbackflip:
Also, although Hide is no longer with them, apparently a few of the guitar riffs in the song were actually written by him before he died (can anyone else confirm this?). So in a way it's like he climbed out his grave for this song... freaky, but again, cool.

MUSIC FROM THE GRAVE is a very cool concept. =D
