Okay so my setup is basically this. Modem and router in basement, broadcasting upstairs to my bedroom to my computer. I then have a "network bridge" setup linking my wireless connection and local connection together, allowing me to connect via ethernet my 360 to computer to get internet.
This way has worked pretty well for me, but I'm wondering if there is a better setup I could try. With this method my computer now takes maybe 10-30 seconds to get internet, and recently my 360 has not been getting connected right away to live. I think THAT issue occured after I DMZ'd my 360 in my router, and statically assigned the 360s IP (which I did to fix the nat issues halo was having).
So, any suggestions?

My only advice is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
If both the computer and the XBOX are having problems connecting, it's either the modem, the router, or the ISP. Your setup sounds fine the way it is.

It is broke, but I think I may have fixed it actually. We'll see how it works for a bit. My main problem is just my computer sometimes taking a while toa ctually get connected to the net once I bridge the connection.

It's probably the bridges fault, have you tried a fully wired setup?

i have this same set up (or, actually HAD it till i decided just to fucking drill a hole in the wall and go wired, just last week actually), and it didnt take all that long to sign on to live most the time. wired wont make your connection any "faster" because your internet connection is already slower than your network cards and your wireless cards. You have to remember that with a bridge, thats an extra hop your 360s information will have to go through, and its dependant on your systems CPU as well.

That explains it a bit better. I'm not trying to make the speeds actually go faster. It's just it takes maybe a minute or two to actually get my 360 connected to the internet. And wired would be wayyyyyy to much of a hassle for me and if I could I doubt my mommy would let me do so either!
