Wait, what's this?
A good while back some very handsome people made an amazing gta sa multiplayer
mod in their free time. me and a few other gw people have played it quite often until
september when it sort of died down

So how do I play this?
Go to http://sa-mp.com and get the latest samp version, join us in the samp channel
on irc, it's called #dicks and we'll tell you how to play.

We got a dedicated server running 24/7 on damage-inc.net with our scripted madness
installed, we got a gamemode with many cool things and a car spawner

But, I don't have gta sa!!!!!!
No problem! I have an ultra fast http download of the gta sa iso on my website,
pm me to get the link

EDIT: Ha, the first torrent I find is exactly the same file. Looks like it's torrenting for me!

haha holy shit, i didnt think it was like this. i assumed it was just SA WITH MULTIPLAYER SUPPORT, not a sandbox kinda thing. that's awesome.

Me and three friends played this a while back. It was extremely, extremely fun. Some of the servers were really cool and had us do jobs, pay gas money, by a house, and earn a living in general. My friends and I would do all kinds of things, like hiking, skydiving, racing, traveling the world... oh man, good times. Oh, and there were occassionally gang fights and violence too but that isn't what GTA is about!

I played on the Something Awful role-playing server for a while, which was pretty fun.

there is a crack included on the dvd image i linked to, it's in the crack folder on the dvd

Are you referring to "hoodlum" Well thats all fine and good, but whenever I try to run it, I get "Vorbisfile.dll not found". =/

After I put in vorbisfile.dll it asked me for Ogg.dll, so I went and got OGG dll, and now it tells me

"The procedure entry point ogg_stream_reset_serialno could not be located int he dynamic link library ogg.dll."

Oh if only it were that simple!

you have to copy the hoodlum folder contents to your gta sa folder in program files btw in case you don't do that

I read the instructions, I probably should have made that apparent earlier; but that's the first thing I did.

Got it working, I had copied the files to the ISO folder I made, not the actual program files folder. Stupid me.

So everything works, set up the controls and such; now I just need to find a server to play on.

well, this is unfortunate for me. the game crashes for me every time I cycle through the vehicles for a certain amount of time... or crashes when I move in 1 direction to far, I'm not certain... is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

When you cycle through the vehicles. It seems to be if you choose a vehicle that flies.

Oh yes, I remember this I played it a while back with my cousins. It would be great if you guys got this and started playing, because there are no NPCs in the game and not many cars or vehicles, also are cheats enabled in the server?

we also did like races and stuff.  I remember sucking at them a lot but they were really fun anyways.  You'd just go around the city and put checkpoints and what not around and just see if people could even complete them in ridiculous vehicles like trailer-trucks or in tanks or something.  Good times.  I sucked at them quite a bit though, and would like fall off every single edge of the road imagineable.

also if you guys were to set up another channel on IRC or something (probably could just use #gamingw though since nobody uses IRC anyways) where we could figure out who all would want to play and what not, that could be a way of getting people to join into it again.
