When I am using a second monitor attached to my laptop, and put my computer into sleep or hibernate, then come back later, the mouse cursor will always appear invisible on one of the screens.
The mouse works fine, as I can still click on stuff, and still see stuff change color or whatever when I hover over it, but the mouse cursor itself is gone. Aside from restarting, is anyone aware of a solution to this? Anyone else even hav this problem?
also I think the OS is vista home premium, if that matters much

Try using a mouse skin that isn't alpha blended.

That seemed to work (But why?)

The alpha channel is a special layer (along with the Red, Green, and Blue channels) on images that allows for certain blending techniques like the one used on that particular mouse skin. I had guessed that your laptop's video card may have had an issue with the alpha channel on the multi monitor set-up.

Ok, turns out i just was lucky for a while.
The problem is NOT fixed.

Hmm, try disabling mouse trails, mouse shadow, and hide mouse while typing. If that doesn't work, try running your second monitor in 24 bit color.
And if THAT doesn't work, see if maybe you have the option to untick "allow this device to power down to conserve energy" for your video card in device manager (may not be in vista).
Also make sure you have the latest video card drivers.
