Quick Info:
The game starts out with any number of players. On the first round a poll will be created with all the players' names on it. The players will vote to assign rulership, and the one player who receives the majority number of votes will be given the position of Ruler. The Ruler will then solely decide which one player will be banished from the game by publicly declaring his decision on the forums. The player who is banished will get one final action before he leaves the game - he will get to solely decide who the next Ruler will be. (The Ruler that banished him will return to being a regular player). Once this next Ruler is known they will have to banish another player, who will then choose a new Ruler, and so on. The game will continue until there is one survivor, the last Ruler.
(Note: The game will be played live in front of GW, meaning that anyone will be able to watch as events unfold in realtime.)
In-Depth Rules:
The First Round Only:- A poll will be created with all of the players names on it in the MTC forum. The poll will stay open for 48 hours.
- After 48 hours the poll will be automatically closed. The player with the most votes will become the Ruler.
- In the event of a tie between two or more people on the poll, the first person to post in the topic after the poll has been closed may declare which one of the tied players will become the Ruler.
The First Round & Onwards:- Once the Ruler is known they will have 24 hours to publicly make known which player they want to banish. They will make this known by posting a new topic with their decision of banishment.
- In the event that the Ruler does not banish a player within 24 hours the Ruler himself will be banished, and a public election will occur for the next ruler (much like in the first round.)
- Once the banished player is known, that player will have 24 hours to publicly make known which player they want to crown as the next Ruler. (They may choose any player still in the game, including the current Ruler). The banished player will post their decision in the same topic where they were declared banished.
- In the event that the banished player does not state who should become the next Ruler, the current Ruler will remain and will get to banish another player.
- The game will continue with players being banished and new rulers being declared until only one player remains. That player will be declared the winner of MTC VI.
There are no twists, no hidden actions. It's a game where your interpersonal skills will be tested. Do you have what it takes to survive, or will you end up being banished, gone with a final act of retribution?
The Prize:
The winner shall receive Premium Membership.
(In the event that the winner has already bought Premium, they'll be able to give it away to another GWer in the spirit of giving.)
Sign Ups:
If you want to play just state so in this topic. You'll automatically be chosen to play as there is no limit to the number of players the game requires. I'll leave sign-ups open until monday, as long as we get at least 10 players. If less than 10 players sign up before Monday, sign ups will be extended until 10 players are onboard. Afterwards the game will begin.

This is a lot more simple I think than any of your other MTC's Mat. On purpose or did you run out of ideas?

fo sho, I will do it... im sure it will be fun

On purpose. I wanted to create something that had simple rules and that would need minimal supervision from me. (It takes a lot of time to compile everyone's votes so I opted out of using a "everyone votes" system). People seemed to enjoy MTCIV with the Dictatorship, and so I wanted something similar to that. This time however, I didn't want to make being the dictator to be a foregone conclusion of losing the game - this time around you can still be the Ruler and not end up losing because you're stuck in power until a revolution occurs. Also, I like the idea of giving each loser a chance to make one final impact on the game as they're leaving - it gives them some power and can lead to some unexpected results and surprises, as well as power struggles. I'm curious to see how this will turn out.

Sign me up...

Sounds cool Mat. Can't wait.

Hey we get emailed the password yeah? Sorry I've never even watched one of these things so I have very little ideas about how it all works.
-
Will the vote be where all of GW votes, or just those competing? Sorry, I'm totally new to this.

There is no password as this will be played in the main MTC forum which anyone can access, whether they're playing or not.

Only those competing will vote to elect the first Ruler.
==================
The election poll has been posted in the MTC6 forum. Please view it for further instructions: http://www.gamingw.net/forums/index.php?topic=3197.0

But couldn't someone NOT competing throw in a vote?

They could, but since all voters' names are publicly displayed on the poll I can just ignore their vote.
