Title: Evil Printer
Post by: Nokoi on December 28, 2007, 12:27:43 am
My dad has an HP 1350 Scanner/Printer. And he is trying to print a photo on Landscape Glossy paper, he set the settings properly, (landscape, landscape, colour.) And when it prints, it just goes ....ZZZZZbeb...ZZZwwwzzWzzz....*Chch!*....and the paper MIGHT just slip through without anything on it, or doesn't come out at all...after it makes it weird noises the lights just blink. Anyone know the problem? He's just about ready to get a baseball bat...I need to save the printer's life!! LOL.

Well, I don't know much about printers, but I think it might be one of these possible scenarios:
1.) The paper is getting jammed somehow. Check the printer to see if anything is loose etc.
2.) There is not enough ink, and it can't print out the image etc.
3.) It might be the type of paper used.
4.) Some parts might be missing etc.
That's all I can think of.
I hope it helps ^^

The paper not making it through would suggest a jam (and I'm guessing that's what the chch sound is). Take it apart as much as you can, and pull out the paper yourself. Also take a quick look at the rollers to make sure they're not obstructed by anything else. Try to print a test page from control panel/printers/rightclick printer->properties after that. If it still prints blank pages, check the ink level, and if that's fine, try updating to the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website.
