It's been awhile since I've bought my Logitech USB Clear chat headset. It has great sound and talking clarity; but one thing irks me.
Midis sound like crap on this headset. I would have to unplug the headset and turn on my speakers just to hear decent midi sound.
Well, recently I bought a new 2.4gig dual core processor, everything runs great; but for some reason my sound card seems to have stopped working; so now I am stuck with using my headset for everything until I find out just what the problem is.
Does anyone know how I can get midis to sound decent with my headset, and as a side question; does anyone know wtf is wrong with my (now dated) sound card?
I didn't even remove the sound card while installing the CPU, so this perplexes me.

So how do you have sound if your soundcard isn't working? Using onboard now?

He is using a USB headset no sound card needed for that. What OS are you using, I know I have a friend that has a USB head set that sounds like ass on his old XP system but on his Vista system it sounds so much better.

when you put the new cpu in windows probably auto-updated and got new sound card drivers. just recently i autoupdated and one of the updates messed with my sound something severe!

Headset with a built in sound card? That's probably the problem imo.

I am using XP, I'll see about perhaps getting some drivers for this sound card. Thank you for the suggestions.
