I loved Klax, just because it had the best opening. The only way I will download this game is if it starts out by saying:.
94085 in Ninja Elite for Fury of the Storm.
Does it actually save the scores for any of you people?
f*cking
how did marcus do it then did he BUY IT???????????
also do silver/gold medals show for you crackerz in the song menu? only bronze or NOTHING shows up for me :(
94085 in Ninja Elite for Fury of the Storm.
I can't play it because I need to update windows and I'm using an illegal version :(
Ninja Mono isn't hard at all, you just right click to clear gray blocks in the stack.
This game is much better with electronic or well-produced music because Audiosurf picks out the beats clearly. BETA 2 in a few hours!
Ninja Mono gets old fairly quickly, which makes the more puzzle-oriented modes more appealing in the long run.Nah, this is why they included all the modes. I find the puzzle modes incredibly boring because you have to work out stuff as you go along (which, come on, is impossible when you have 30+ blocks going past every few seconds.)
Well Jester, I feel that ninja mono could actually be a LOT of fun, yes. The main thing that turns me off to it is that because the program generates all the blocks, you don't really hit things that stick to a single beat and often there are just long sessions of dodging. I know there's no real way for a computer to create a stage that consistently follows a beat, but it'd be pretty c00l if they created a track editor in the future!Well, idk I think it gets the beat of songs rather well. I'm with Jester on this one.

Through the Fire and Flames (Elite Ninja Mono) (Click to reveal)(http://www.gamingw.net/pubaccess/26383/throughthefireandflames.png)
I think that for this being the 3rd song I played in the game so far (only the 2nd song I've played on Elite Ninja Mono), I did pretty damn good.
And yeah, Elite Ninja Mono (is it Elite Ninja...or Ninja Mono...or Elite Ninja Mono?) is my favorite game type. I tried Pusher and didn't even finish, and the others don't sound interesting.
Yeah I suck on most other songs though. I forget which song it was but I think it was a Foo Fighters one and I didn't even get Bronze.Hidden content (Click to reveal):D(http://gamingw.net/pubaccess/24811/audiosurf04.png)
but yeah it was far from being my 3rd song so gj
it really just depends if you like puzzle style games or rhytmn style games more.I really enjoy rhythm games, and that's the source of some of my criticisms. Playing games like Elite Beat Agents, Guitar Hero, and Stepmania where the rhythm is consistent, apparent, and well timed makes me wish that it were more spot on here. I feel in ninja mono more like I'm just trying to dodge and pick up random scattered blocks that don't always follow a consistent rhythm. This is especially apparent in songs that have a lot going on in them, and even though I realize this isn't going to bother everybody, I wish there were a way to give the player more control over a generated stage. I've also noticed some tracks generated with ninja mono are a little buggy and have far too few collectible blocks to even allow the player to get a silver medal. It's good that other people enjoy this though, and maybe I'm just playing this particular mode for the wrong reasons."

yeah, you play to see if you can dodge all the greys, not to get a gold. scores don't mean shit yet seeing as you cant even save them.Yeah, for the most part you should be able to get Bronze on almost every song though (at least the ones I've played I can...I just don't do well).
Yeah, for the most part you should be able to get Bronze on almost every song though (at least the ones I've played I can...I just don't do well). Not necessarily. Due to the fact medals arent finished yet you need 11700 points for bronze in every stage. Some just do not have enough coloured blocks for this.
Not necessarily. Due to the fact medals arent finished yet you need 11700 points for bronze in every stage. Some just do not have enough coloured blocks for this.I suppose. The songs I've been playing are typically fast and last a while, but I suppose once I get through some more of my library it won't be that way.
And Bisse that isn't true :D.
you didnt get a clear finish bonus!I know. I fucked up at the end.
you really need that, it's like what 25% extra? its insane
In Ninja Mono, Jester?Yeah, that's all Jester (and I) play.
Could I add one of you on msn and get the song off you?You can only pick up blocks in Pointman, as far as I know.
Btw you know you can click to pick up blocks, right?
You can only pick up blocks in Pointman, as far as I know.
In Ninja Mono, the point is to gather as many points as you can by collecting and gathering colored blocks, while avoiding grey ones.
And what song are you talking about?
"valley of the damned"Oh well yes, yeah I know that.
And yes, I know what you do. I'm saying if you holding down the mouse button you can 'gather' blocks which you aren't directly in front of.
Try that one Jester' date=' though you'll probably kill me. It has quite a bit of slowdown points, even though they usually last one second.[/quote']
Only just, man. It's a pretty hard song, although I fucked up a lot at the start I don't think it affected my score very much.Dragonforce - Cry of whatever (Click to reveal)(http://gamingw.net/pubaccess/24811/audiosurf09.png)
I just downloaded but when I run it..If you're talking about Beta 2, then you're on your own.
EXPIRED BETA
i can't play it.. help?
Firemage where'd you downloaded yours?
He can't fucking tell you since its illegal, how about you read the 1st post in the topic. You could have just said 'PM me and I'll tell you.'
God.
You could have just said 'PM me and I'll tell you.'
You guys kicking ass on Ninja Mono, you're awesome. I'm spending too much time on Vegas, so I am not the greatest at dodging the grey blocks. I think I usually pick up in total about.. 10-15 per song at the moment.Really I'm not too good. It depends on the song.
Maybe I just need to go with slower songs and then after managing well with them, move back to the speedy songs.
sounds like some hardware failing you...yeah i tried wasd and it's actually pretty useful! i'll try to practice it more
WSAD is crap. :(
sounds like some hardware failing you...when you get 250k using another control method let me know
WSAD is crap. :(
Long bump but does anyone know what happened to this?
I wanted to play this the other day since I saw it sitting on this computer, but it won't work. You can't get to the website anymore, so something's up.
I wanna play this again. :fogetcry:
if you took part in the demo (cracked or not) you need to edit out anything relating to audio-surf.com in your hosts files (windows/system32/drivers/etc/)
that'll make the website work again
dont ask why it put them in there in the first place because i dont know
Because if you don't, the demo will try to connect to that website/server, and will fail to run.Yeah it is basically something like that. If you typed in for instance 127.0.0.1 gamingw.net in your hosts file it would tell your computer to look for the website at that location, which happens to be your computer's resident address. When you tried accessing GW instead you would get a blank page.
I tried this when I saw the topic, but after a while I lost interest/got caught up with other things. Since then, how has the game updated, do people still play it, and is it worth playing now?Yeah, of course people still play. Ninja Mono is still the game mode of choice, but it's greatly trumped by Pusher and Eraser Elite. There are more game modes now and song/track generation has apparently been modified slightly.
I'm bumping this because it only getting to page 4 is a crime. The game is buyable on Steam for 10$, and you should all get it if you can. Let's start posting new scores and awesome songs and shit again!
I updated the OP and added new updated screens etc.
Just so you know, you can get it for $5 on the Steam right now, so go buy it if you haven't already.oh no, I already bought it. I thought that was insinuated with me saying that "I'm bummed that I missed the competition". but now that I read it again I guess it isn't really.
