Apparently there's a movie based on the Get Smart series. It doesn't have a release date I don't think but its supposed to come out in 08. I loved the series, and since Steve Carrell is alright this should turn out well.
At worst...it'll just be like Steve Martin's version of The Pink Panther. Funny, but pales in comparison to the classic series.

I saw the trailer for the movie at Comic-Con. I don't think that specific trailer has been released on the net yet.
From what I've seen, it seems to have a pretty good cast and lots of good humor. Hopefully it'll end up being gr8.

I've been waiting for this since it was rumored several years ago, and I saw the teaser a while back. I can't wait, it's finally looking like a TV-to-movie remake that will actually be good and stay true to the original. Steve Carell is definitely a good choice.
If for some weird reason it did turn out to be bad, at least the good news is that it could possibly convince TV Land or someone to put the show back on the air, and I'd call that a win in any case. Overall though, I'm not worried at all about this movie and I'm actually looking forward to it!

Eh... Don Adams voice was the reason I watched the series on Nick at Night as a kid. His voice was pretty prolific and I haven't heard a single voice actor that could probably mimic it...
EDIT: On a positive note, since Don Adams is dead they can't harass him into making a crappy cameo!
