I want to know if my computer can handle the latest Adobe Software (Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver, etc...). I don't know much about hardware so; I ask if my computer will blow up if I use them.
System requirements:
Intel® Pentium® 4, Intel Centrino®, Intel Xeon®, or Intel Core™ Duo (or compatible) processor
What I have:
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
2.08 GHz 1 GB (960 MB) of Ram

2.8ghz cpu and 1g ram? Sounds fine to me. It's dated... but it should work. I used a similar PC for all of my Adobe/ Macromedia projects up until October or so when I finally upgraded my PC.
What type of work do you plan on doing? Depending on what it is.... you might not have enough ram for it.

Imaging editing and flash mostly.

You should be fine.

That's just fine, yeah. I used to make some of those abstract rendering thingies (that I think only Chainer remembers) on a 500 MHz computer with 64 MB RAM. Took days for the 3D parts to finish rendering, and then I had to painstakingly assemble the images at A4-size on resolution 150. But even that, as I recall it, was somewhat doable. And before that, I used a 60 MHz computer with 16 MB RAM, although I never made anything too serious with that.
Kids these days have it easy!
