Title: Termination of AvalancheStudios.net hosting
Post by: reko on February 26, 2008, 11:14:19 pm: Because I basically no longer have use for the AvalancheStudios.net hosting I'll close it down. This includes all domains that I also host, not only the subdomains of AvalancheStudios.net! To give some time for all the users that we host to backup their stuff, I'll wait a month before taking everything down. If you need help backing up your stuff, getting your MySQL databases, or whatever contact me on IRC (do _not_ send me a PM the chances are that I forget about it in 5 mins then. If you want my help then get it on IRC realtime. only PM me if you can't get a hold of me on IRC!)

I can, and will, host some of the people I used to host before on my new server, but because the lack of a reseller management control panel such as cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk etc. it's a significantly more time taking to do things like managing user accounts and domains, thus I'll only host very few people, who I know very well.

I still don't know what to do with the domain, I might give it to the real game dev team from swedish (they stole this name from us!!!!) to support nordic game development, or I might move it on the new server. Regardless, I won't be providing free hosting for anyone who wants it any more. I can still host your games whatsoever if they're too big to fit in pubaccess or whatever, you can always PM me about those sorts of things.
