Oh yes I see, pretty good idea.

I dont know what else to add or change in that image. Im completely out of ideas. Is there certain characters you guys want to see or anything that could give me a better idea of what to add?
What is wrong with the one in the layout images that Leafo posted (http://www.leafo.net/gw/?M=D)?This is what I thought. However, I have a pretty nice one coming along that might be a suitable replacement.
meh. made a simple cliche web 2.0 logoWhy would we want something that makes no effort to distinguish us from the rest of the world?spoiler (Click to reveal)(http://www.hermajestyssecretservice.com/images/gwlogo.jpg)
Rought Sketch. Let me know if you want me to refine it and keep working on it.

I am really bad at Photoshop but I have a couple of ideas that I can throw out verbally that hopefully someone would be willing to artistically convey??????
1) Have both the Legoman and Foget in a simple wrestling match (maybe grasping each other as in sumo), with the contours of their bodies somehow forming the letters G and W.
I like this idea, maybe the making their bodies form gw is a bit too complex but legoman and foget grappling over the title gw or gaming world would be quite cool imo.
Here's some more Legoman.

Im working on a few GW logos and they are looking pretty dope. So be prepared...Dude, before you will make any more of these, note that we are asking for a logo. Not a banner.

Man the new layout looks so much better and more 'professional'.Hey man, I don't care that you took the original layout I made and turned into something that makes PHP-Nuke templates look good, but it is not "more professional". Everything has rounded corners and a drop shadow. Everything looks the same. Essentially, the GWLog layout fell out of flavor 10 years ago.

Especially for a BLOG feel, there wasn't enough seperating each item and there was too much free space. This may not look more professional, but it definitely suits the type of site it's meant to be, more.
Next time you want a layout, just ask me for a layout, and not for an actual graphic design. (Not that I really care, though. It's perfectly fine with me you rejected what I was originally asked to make. But if you think that this, a collection of photochopped rounded rectangles with drop shadows, is what professional layouts look like, you must have had your head in the sand for the last 10 years.)
Straightened the teeth, made a version with no teeth, and made a simpler colored one.Hidden content (Click to reveal)(http://www.gamingw.net/pubaccess/23367/GWlogo_3.png)
psychoskullahahahhaa yes absolutely
req ff7 worldmap instead of real continents
lets go nerd all the way..
Mah vote goes to this one. I think its the best and the most changeable in the future. :fogetbackflip:And if you want to have a little fun... (Click to reveal)Of course, any sort of weekly cartoon or whatever could be placed inside. I really like that kind of thing... keeps the logo dynamic.(http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/4666/gwlogoyo1.png)

This may not look more professional, but it definitely suits the type of site it's meant to be, more.Well, if that's what you think, fine. I don't think this is a good design. Again, I don't mind that what I made was rejected. I understand you wanted to finish it as quickly as possible and didn't want to wait much longer. But I could have made a much more accurate effort if I had known what you wanted a bit better. It's kind of strange when you make something, then someone tells you it's "nearly okay", and then a few edits later it's suddenly completely discarded. If I had known that this is the kind of thing that you wanted, I'd have made something different; that's all I'm saying, critique of the design itself notwithstanding. (Also I'm posting this just because I feel I should clarify myself, not because I want to derail the current discussion.)
Does no one besides Bush and welsh man like mine at all? That's disappointing :( ... could I at least get some criticism?I like the lego man design, but I don't really care for the ANGER mood aspect. It kinda gives off the 13-year-old's angry amateur website feel.

I like what you did with the GW, very professional. The Legoman kinda scared me. He looked greedy and corporate, but very crisp. What did you make everything in?I did the logo part in Photoshop CS3. Photoshop can do vector and is sometimes a bit more flexible with type, I find.

Also, are you trying to make a "GWL" logo, as in "GW Log" or is the G just funny-looking?
I like it but I'd start by changing the G it does look out of place.Affirmative.
So far, Psychoskull is the only person with the technical ability and design talent required to make a good logo. You guys would be crazy not to use him for this. His logos can always use more working and re-working, but you can tell he's willing to do that.Oh hey thanks for this :fogetnah:
It's a contest, Green Bomb. Not a buttfuck. And in contests, the best contestant should win. I like this community and I would like it if we had a good logo as well.
