Title: Real Resident Evil movie coming out

I guess Capcom's doing their own Resident Evil movie called RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION. It looks like their answer to Advent Children, basically. About the only thing is it looks about as good as Resident Evil 5 did imo. But it'll be good to see a RE movie that's cheesy the way the games are and not the crappy way the movies so far have been :(

I still think they should make a whole movie that looks like this though

Post by: pburn on March 01, 2008, 02:21:39 am: I'm not exactly having high hopes for this, but I think it'll be pretty cool and entertaining. Especially since Advent Children was just a piece of shit.

But seriously, am I the only one who ACTUALLY ENJOYED THE RESIDENT EVIL MOVIES? I know they suck, but for some reason I was very entertained when I saw each one. It's not perfect, but its people shooting zombies with some crazy storyline.

And the movies basically feel like they threw a bunch of ideas together and called it Resident Evil. Like hey we want to do this movie about a hot chick shooting stuff yeah let's have her shooting zombies so we can call it resident evil movie

I think the second part is why most people hate the movies - it's so COOKIE-CUTTER

Edit: Also why does Gametrailers have user movies that are the same exact thing you can get in better quality off the top of the page

Thank you so much, Capcom. The other movies were such terrible bullshit they really made the series look bad. This just looks incredible. I am a huuuge resident evil fan and I came a little bit while watching this. And real zombies again! I guess they can still work with that as long as it takes place in America rather than some third world country with the mind virus.

although that shot with the plane about to crash through the window is pretty awesome and they could turn it into ZOMBIES ON A PLANE if they want to (I know they did a movie about that some time ago :/ )

I am a huge fan of Resident Evil (didn't like 4 though) but I hate the fact that it's CGI. I wish Capcom made an actual live-action one. CGI would be okay if it was super photo-realistic but this really isn't the case here.

Still I expect this to be better than those Milla Jojojojojovich (whatever) movies. Those were terrible (haven't seen the 3rd), in second I liked Jill Valentine, but other than that they've been utter rubbish. Even when looking them without thinking RE-games they look really bad. Bad directing, bad script, bad everything. I don't find them entertaining in the least and I usually like mindless crappy action movies.
