I... I can't believe it. Is NOBODY here watching this awesome series?
This is a Terminator TV-series, following the events of T-2. They've retconned T3 (Atleast for the sake of this series... We'll have to see what timeline T4 occurs in) and it follows Sarah and Connor as they try to escape and lay low after the events with the T-1000. Namely, they're criminals wanted by the FBI for the murder (Of Dyson) and the destruction of Cyberdine among other things. Among all this mess, a new terminator appears and begins hunting John.
From what I've seen (7 episodes) the series seems truly great. It looks like it was made for fans by fans and is full of references and nerdy jokes here and there. They've also tried (Somewhat succesfully, I'd say) to avoid "villain of the week." and this first season is developing pretty good.
The season finale (2h special) airs this monday.

Dude this show is terrible. Its really going to get cancelled, I will be surprised if it doesn't.
Truth of the matter is to me that the show is NOT worth watching. The acting is forced and hollow, the characters flat and uninteresting, and basically a formlulaic farce playing on the time paradoxes of the Terminator storyline, that when retconned with the actual trilogy makes no sense whatsoever. I watched the pilot and a couple more episodes and really I was not impressed or drawn to it at all, and I think that lots of other people feel the same way.

Well yeah. I suppose if the forum mainstream is watching shit like LOST and Chuck... *shrugs*

This show is TERRIBLE man. As Blitzen said, pretty much NOTHING works and it ruins the movie storyline. Every episode is just a bunch of television cliche's mixed together with some robots and cringe worthy dialogue. The result is just... fucked. I don't see how ANYONE can enjoy this series.

this show fucking sucks, honestly.

heh heh.. expand your horizons... fools..

Linda Hamilton should've been in this
I thought she might've been too old and wasn't doing movies/TV anymore but she was in Thief 2 years ago which was a pretty awesome show btw (which didn't get renewed though fuck u general public for not watching it enough)

I am loving this show at the moment. I don't find the acting terrible, and it's kinda interesting to see what happened in between the movies.

Just like every other show that is on the air at this time. Minus the robots and all. There are very few TV shows that arn't television cliches and who says that familiar terriotry is a bad thing.
The only problem I found is how was the head able to travel through time when only organic materials can time jump? Other than that, I can easily see myself watching til the end. And hopefully, it's not very soon like Blitzen said.

How did you not notice how the time traveling creating a new timeline fucking up the Terminator timeline?
Yeah, sure lots of TV series have cliche's and cringe worthy dialogue, even then execution has made a few of those shows great. Sarah Conner Chronicles on the other hand, does NOT.
Every damn episode has to include some shitty robot fight and some shitty stuff like GOING TO SCHOOL or LEAVING MY BOYFRIEND RANDOMLY or UGLY GIRL JUMPS OFF ROOF WHILE ROBOT TRIES TO CONSOLE HER WITH SHITTY DIALOGUE just to add some depth.

1) I don't think you have any fucking idea what you're talking about.
2) Terminator 3 is definitely an awful movie that did a great harm to the franchise. If they tell me it never happened, I'll be GLAD to look the other way.

Terminator 3 and Sarah Connor Chronicles take place in SEPERATE timelines. Considering the timeline of the first two films stay the same, then there must have been a split somewhere. The only explanation is the time travel element in Chronicles creating a split timeline. However, if that were to happen, that would mean that every single time a terminator went back in time and changes stuff and whatever, time would not change, it could only branch off.

And possibly it does. That is not relevant, however. I am just saying SCC is a shitload better than T3 and am really hoping Terminator 4 will tie in with this instead.

I dunno what you are talking about, I liked Terminator 3. It was cool...this show however... I cannot stand.

Man Kamina, I don't know why you are so passionate about this show. I saw a couple of episodes and it's pure shit. Easily the worst TV series I have ever seen.
PS - LOST and Chuck are well-reviewed shows being written, directed, and acted by respected and recognized professionals in the industry. LOST has won an Emmy, a Golden Globe and several screenwriting awards. I haven't watched much Chuck, but it's well-acted, well-paced and nearly as funny as The Office.
Sarah Connor Chronicles is written by the guy who wrote Sahara and The Black Dahlia, two of the biggest bombs in the past three years (though, I liked Sahara...).

So pretty much, if all you are going to do is post "This is shit." You can kind of knock it off already, we all get the picture. Either that or I just lock the topic.

Saw the pilot months ago, thought it started off alright but went downhill FAST! I stuck with it though. I kept thinking "it might get better". Then they built a time machine and travelled into 2007. Turned it off straight away.

Thief was excellent! I s'pose the good thing about it not getting another series was that it never had a chance to get shite, all shows (except The Shield) do eventually.
