Title: Favorite dance?

If you dance, what is your favorite type? And no, "exotic dancing" or the "horizontal mambo" does not count. :P

I tried swing dancing but I kind of suck at it. To be honest, I suck at all types of dancing. I don't have a problem with rhythm, it's just that I have no idea what to move on my body and I have trouble learning from just watching people.
My wife suggested we try dancing again and I went to a quick practice session for Latin dancing and I didn't learn much, but I really want to try to do better this time. I might have to check out some how-to videos on YouTube (i.e. Merengue, salsa, etc.) so I can learn in the privacy of my own home without making a fool of myself.

Do you dance, and what are your favorite styles? How did you learn to dance? Tell your experiences.

haha this reminds me. the other day my dad said something along the lines of "earth wind and fire is great music to dance to." I asked him if he knew how kids danced today, and he said not really. the best way to explain it was "we just kind of... rub up on each other." it was pretty funny.

well in the disco I just move along with the music. Sometimes I go to 50's party's and I do the twist, or do the twirly thing with my female friends.

I just dance along to the music, I don't know any particular styles really XD ..however.. I can do the dance to thriller and also the one to steps (5,6,7,8), the nutbush, macarena, and best of all (oh god) the dance to soulja boy - crank that... XD
