I like to enter these kinds of things, but I was busy and chickpeas were a bit too...well, bland, frankly. I don't think chickpeas and have ideas jump out at me except "hummus." Somethings a bit more versatile would be nice.

Also I think the only reason not much competed this time was the ingredient. Imo it was a great one, but it may have been TOO HARD. I dunno. I just didn't have time myself with moving and all around then

Post by: Artis Leon Ivey Jr on March 18, 2008, 05:08:19 pm: hmm, DP doesn't win for me because that ketchup rice did look unappetizing, although the rest looked good. lifeexplosions would have won but for the fact something about a chickpea chocolate cake disturbs the fuck out of me. so WC wins, although that towering stuffed bell pepper is weird.

I didn't compete in the second one for the same reason and because I don't like chickpeas at all. Also, not that this is anyone's fault, but the second one really just came out of no where for me. As in, I didn't expect it would be so soon.

Definitely going to try to compete in the next contest.

Washcycles presentation on the stuffed pepper looked really awesome to me, but I thought DarkPriests pancakes looked really delicious and I'd love to try that soup too so he got my vote!
I hope more people join next time because it's just pretty good fun, maybe an ingredient which isn't as unusual?

as I said in his thread, the presentation was a bit odd in wc's, but everything still looks really really good.

dp's was the first topic this round, and I was surprised by how good he made chickpeas look. I think the soup and the dessert looked like really strong dishes.

I can't decide, I'll vote later!

it was definitely the weakest looking (and tasting) dish in my menu
